I distinctly remember either a 3D or VR plug-and-play Tennis game with waggle controls floating around in the early 2000s, and I had a shitty ripoff "3D EXPERIENCE" motorcycle game when I was a young thing that played some assy arcade motorcycle game, but can't find proof of either of these online.

Because they were terrible. The Virtual Boy is remembered for being extraordinarily terrible. For ages the best "VR" experience was lightgun games in arcades.

because they sucked. I have pretty limited experience with VR these days, I did a demo at a mall once, but even today's VR can be hit or miss. The old shit you're talking about sucked ass and was basically fun to play with a handful of times and then it got boring. I remember playing that arcade thing in your post, and it was a neat gimmick and worth a play or two, but it wasn't anything amazing or even that good of a game.

Isn't that the fucking truth. One if the best VR experiences I've ever had was at a the now defunct Disney Quest on their Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride attraction and I've yet to find any evidence of the machine's whereabouts. Fuck, I can't even find footage of the actual game itself and the damn thing was built in 1998. I swear that I'm going to own one of those machines if I have to scour every Disney stock house myself.
