I am surprised they didn't give it a female ruler like Hurrem or Kosem considering the Ottoman Empire literally had a period called the Sultanate of Women and this game seems predisposed to have female rulers as representatives

The Vox Populi mod makes Civ 5 better, but I wouldn't call it necessarily better than Civ 4 with mods. However, it is quite fun playing as Venice due to how OP they are.

You can tell how shit each iteration is going to be by looking at the leader/advisor avatars, as soon as the cartoony aesthetic kicked in it all went downhill. The whole '(((Appeal to kids)))/have incompetent art directors' drive is a true signifier of a series circling the drain in terms of quality, before you know it the games are easier, the AI much more retarded or cookie cutter in their behaviour and poz creeps in every crack it can.

To be honest I kinda prefer Civ V artstyle over VI and IV, not sure if that is what you meant but still though I find it to be quite nice. VI is just ugly to me and IV is meh.

I don't have a problem with it. Civilization is the only game I'd say "muh diversity" (as in, having civilizations from all around the globe) genuinely makes sense. I was actually surprised that they added Canada, since England is already in the game and Cucknada is nothing but a dominion of Perfidious Albion.

Five with all expansions was ok but too dumbed down. VI is obliviously a train wreck with some good ideas mixed ittaken from other games that is. Never played anything below IV, since it was my first GSG. But Jesus do I suck at it. Cottage spamming seems like the strategy everyone goes with from videos I've watched.
