Also, I'm being a double cheat and playing M+KB and the semi-erratic relatively quick movement of normal zombies even gives me a wasted bullet here and there when trying to blow a limb off, so ymmv using a controller. G1 fucking used up nearly all my stockpiled fucking ammunition in his single fight, I felt like it was RE4 with how many bullets I had coming into what was boss fight 1, then after that alone realized "oh hey I will fucking die in this mode if I do not conserve ammo, thank fucking god." Seems like lots of people on the steam forums do not understand this principle :^)
It's not the original, but it certainly is a turn towards what I guess I would consider a compromise at the very worst, and a return to older principles at the peak optimism I can muster. It's complete shit. Your typical SMG is a pistol on steroids (not a machine pistol, though). Even the ammunition is a bit more powerful, with harder primers to deal with the faster cycling rate (not really related to power). Longer barrel and hotter powder load = more muzzle velocity, which in turn means a FUCKLOAD more damage can be dealt per shot. They're no less accurate than a pistol, but because VIDYA GAEM, the SMG you get sprays in a wide arc even in limited bursts, and does less damage than the pistols (which do fucking random damage anyway).

Hard mode does not do that, Mr. X is kind of cool except for his enlightened appearance that makes one laugh, and zombies are only a "threat" because they had their speed increased and act like Walking Dead zombies. You can still shoot them and run around them with ease.

I can, I did, and I will continue to use that argument because it's ancient, but still harder than the hardest mode in REimagined 2. In other versions the Normal and Easy modes are harder than REi2's "Assisted (Journo mode)" or Normal.
