first 2 Call of Dutys were good because they had replaced all the awkward tactical shit that fails in this one

Later Medal of Honors like Airborne tried new things, that were ofcourse way better than anything CoD had ever done

Honestly didn't play Medal of Honor, but I loved the old SOCOM franchise from the PS2 era…. How well does MoH stack up against socom? I might give it a try.

The WWII Medal of Honor games were some good shit, WWII may have been overdone back then but it was always better than the modern warfare trend that followed.

Played the shit out of MP, never touched SP because it was always shit with every game, only reason for getting this and CoD was to play online

Allied Assault is probably my favourite game online. Massive amount of fun with it and the maps were awesome. Everyone leaning left and right can get tiresome but it is what it is.

Spearhead then Breakthrough. Multiplayer might still be alive, but keep in mind it's divided by base game and each expansion.

Also Spearhead campaign is some good shit, you'll really enjoy it. I don't remember much about the Breakthrough expansion but I think it has the weakest SP.

I played the Airborne game, it was pretty interesting. The levels were relatively open, multi-objective stages you could do in any order, and instead of reloading from a checkpoint, you'd just parachute out of the plane and choose a new landing point, so even dying never really got old because your next respawn could play very differently. It had a decent weapon leveling system but I still prefer weapon customization more than just linear unlocks, but it was at least better than CoD in those regards. It kind of gets silly in the last few levels because it goes from WWII Generica to Wolfenstein supersoldiers in hulking armor and even a Saturday morning cartoon style doom fortress level, but I think this was mainly an homage to the HL2 Citadel. Also snipers in this game take the piss because they'll blap you as soon as you land if it's not behind cover, but they're only in the later levels. All in all, it's a short game, so I'd recommend pirating it, it's pretty okay.

I actually have a Medal of Honor 10th anniversary collection but for some reason the airborne installer wont work. After trying a few things I eventually said fuck it and pirated the game and it worked great. Honestly teenage me was blown away, not only could I have gotten the game for free but I didn't even need a serial code or an installer.

Not to mention I saw the collection at my local gamestop a while later for 10$ while i got it for 50$. It was around that time I realised the motto of the videogame industry. The cutomer is never right and deserves to be beaten and robbed when he enters the store.

On the bright side it did introduce me to Medal of honour so that is good i guess.

I could never even get past the first level in Frontline, so much shit it's ridiculous.
