Would game and watch games on happy meals be a good deal for Nintendo?

Probably not. G&W would be a lot more expensive to produce than a cheap plastic toy, too.

I'd think that would likely just prompt a bunch of "what the fuck is this shit?" from the current brood. Not like they're apt to remember when Tiger Electronic style LCD minigames could make it into kids meals, back when kids meal toys still had some small amount of effort put into them (I've still got one of the bionicle matoran toys they had way, way back).

Happy meal toy games are a relic of the past. No kid is going to want to play some piece of shit kids meal game when consoles and smartphones are so widespread now.

I expect a Game and Watch widget or smartphone app for iPhone and Android phones first.

The only use for Game and Watch games I see nowadays are as either microgames in WarioWare or as load-in games, little easter eggs during the loading screens for some of their big titles, embed related.

It would be really nice if these things didn't cost $100-$300 dollars. A lot of them seem like really fun time wasters for stuff like train rides, but I'm not paying that much for them when I could get something like a Game and Watch Gallery game to substitute.

Well, maybe if Nintendo really wants to. I mean, Sega already did that already. Here are some of the McDonalds happy meal toys I'm talking about.

Fuck, you're right. Well, honestly, in that case, I don't know OP, there's definitely room for profit here for Nintendo, the Switch is a huge hit.

Also this. Taking children to McDonald's should be considered child abuse.

ha, I went to McDonalds a couple of times a year for my whole life and I'm fine, it's just amerifats and their massive meal portions on top of already shitty health habits.

While not a mini game, Star Fox Guard would sometime display a G&W themed loading screen.

Just hand out little cards that have an amiibo sticker on them that give you an extra life in Smash Bros Story Mode or whatever. It's Nintendo so you'd be insane to expect them to put effort into this.

2 games Squid Racer, Squidball and 1 music visualizer Squid Beatz which does have a little rhythm game like component of being able to hit buttons in time to the scrolling notes to change the jellyfish icons into rabbit like icons but has no score or win/loss conditions to really qualify it as a game.
Squid Racer and Squidball are nice but have fixed, unchanging levels compared to Squid Jump's level randomization giving it more replay value and feels like the better game compared to the other two.

Really boils down to this. Leaving aside some very young customers, you would be better off selling the Happy Meals with crispy new Minion figurines.
