I am the OP of this thread.
In 2015, I started an idea that was originally called "Amiibo Battle Royale." The concept was that 40 or 50 Amiibo AIs would fight in a grand tourney fought on Super Smash Bros. For Wii U. Starting at level 1, each Amiibo learns and adapts from both the opponents they fight, and the chaotic and random events that happen on stage. No two matches would ever be alike, and fighters compete until only one Amiibo is left standing.
The fights would be streamed over Twitch, and the idea would be that people would pick who they would want to win, and watch whether or not their favorite would pull through, culminating in an arduous final battle of the two Amiibo that were left standing. Future plans called for the implementation of physical or monetary prizes to those who were able to guess the winner before the start of the tournament.
Since 2015, I had lost the ability to commit myself to the project due to military obligations, but now that my life has fully restabilized and with the release of the newest Smash Bros. game, I want to give this another shot (and with a different name, since the term "Battle Royale" has come to imply something else since 2015).
I still think this is an excellent idea, and I think we can have a lot of fun with it.
With that in mind, I'd like your input. Let me know what you think would be a great idea on how this could be pulled off or even if this is absolutely fucking stupid and a waste of everyone's time. Let me know what you think.
Your input is appreciated.
