In the end, share holders and customers have all the power. They might have the media. And they are trying to influence those opinions. But it doesn't work.
There was a big push in the media and by major publishers like Ubisoft, EA, and Activision last August for diversity. It would have taken about a year for the effects of those actions to show up. It takes time for them to hire more diverse people, create games that follow their new diversity guidelines, etc. Most of these big publishers depend on yearly game releases, and August 2017 was too late for their big releases to be affected by the changes.
And about a year later, their sales of major franchises are not doing so well and their stocks are dropping. Of course, the end result is that they blame capitalism for everything and dream of a society where the government makes all the games and you're mandated to play their political bullshit or nothing at all (unless you want to import via black market).

I wouldn't say "all" entertainment branches, per se. The SJW mindset has only taken root in nations that are multicultural. Basically, just the "western" nations right now (see pic related; dark blue). Unless a company is fervently right wing, it's safe to assume that any company located in the western places like America (Blizzard, Netflix) is likely pozzed to some degree. But then again, there are still ethnocentric states like Asian and Eastern European countries where they aren't really fans of multiculturalism. Like many Japanese and some Polish devs still producing games with ethnocentric ideals for example. Such as Okami and Kingdom Come. 2 games that western devs would've never made, due to their lack multicultural casts.
I mention Netflix because it's an American (aka SJW) company. Japan is still free to make games with no niggers like Bloodborne, but thanks to American revisionism, Netflix will "localize" the IP adaptation to include niggers regardless. I would say this is at least partly to blame. Probably due to the media pushing the narrative (50% women in gaming etc…) and other shit like that, shareholders are willfully ignorant and think that there's this magic audience out there that they can cater to to expand their market share. We're now seeing these same out of touch shareholders thinking that China is the next big market that they can expand to without realizing it's the same damn trap, although somewhat more insidious since the market actually exists. The problem is, is that the overlap between the existing one and china is very small thanks to Chinese censorship. If companies continue to court the chinese market it will just split the customer base.

The ideas encapsulated in the American Constitution had to have matured through thousands of years of European history of conflict and intellectual dialogue.
