How much of that webm is down to displays? it fucks me off so much that modern tvs make you hunt for the game mode setting to get acceptable input delay.

though I suppose it's a moot point because so many people play with modern tvs without any setting to stop the delay.

It's irrelevant if it's the display since that would affect older games too and they don't have the input issues. Go try loading up a game on an old console, playing it and comparing it to modern trash.

Good developers are expensive. They farm a lot of the work out to pajeets and then hire some diversity for their western office to take the credit.

Most of the examples aren't bad when you play it. The answer is probably more that developers focus less on games being gamey and they have to have movement that is more "lifelike" I guess.

They actually get kicked off after finishing a game to save up on costs, they then start anew on another company and then get kicked off so said company can save up on costs.

That's the AAA cycle, only Lead devs remain in such companies to create guidelines and get kicked off if they disagree with anything executives have to say.
