Chinks butchering animals in the most pointless and painful ways possible and seizing companion animals off the street- I won't go for the 'dogs are smart/emotional' angle, because the same applies to pigs, but rather note that these are pets or well-socialized strays- is personally abhorrent. The line tracing back to their individual and societal guilt for that brutality is a lot shorter and more direct, so it gets a stronger reaction from people, fallibly gormless as they are.
