When I saw the first trailer for BF5, I thought it was supposed to be some sort of time travel fucked version of WWII which resulted in the weird cast of (time travel) mixed characters like the black guy with katana or woman solider with prosthetic arm and why the battlefield seemed so hazy and had cars dropping out of the sky (it turned out they were falling off a nearby bridge).

However the soy infused scenario writer stuffs in an entire plot line that amounts to the old /pol/ nigger comics of "they dindunuffin, they wuz good boys, white peepol held dem back." So instead of a consistent story you have a game showing you one thing and telling you the opposite. I managed to play BFV for free today. I went in trying to be as objective as possible while trying to ignore the "wokeness".
You can't, you really fucking can't ignore that. Every screen has an absolutely ugly ass woman on it for no good reason at all, they also made all the models ugly as fuck, even the men for what I can only assume is "muh realism, people aren't all attractive" but this point is null when it's all unrealistic as fuck so I don't know what they were thinking there. Not 5 minutes into the game it basically says "death is the same for everyone" and that WW2 was horrific for all people but it really comes off as "yeah, women fought too!". I'd be fine with it if they had a realistically proportionate amount, say 1 woman for every 5000 men.
After ignoring all that, I tried the shootan and my god is it boring. It's a bug-filled lagfest with only about 6 different maps, half of which are just open fields and open fields but snowy. It also caused a memory leak and eventually hard crashed my PC 2 hours in. Needless to say I uninstalled it. Thank god I didn't spend any money on this.

I've noticed that this year's EA has been all about doubling down on everything.
