So I took a few minutes to research the situation and it's pretty simple by the looks of it. Look at pic related. A stock's value is always randomly moving up and down but sudden surges like this that go beyond the normal movement are easy to spot and always have a cause. Two seconds on jewgle found two major results for these drops– firstly, EA earned far less profit than their predicted revenue for their fiscal first quarter and analysts (correctly) predicted further losses. Secondly, Battlefield V. It's a total flop. It's not selling anywhere near as well as they hoped and it's being torn to shreds by consumer critics. Considering it is their next major release outside their staple Sports line it understandably had a huge impact on their stock value.

Vidya stocks have been overvalued ever since the market crash made many investors migrate to this market. But is that enough? That niche can keep them stable but investors don't want stable, that's just another word for stagnation. They want growth and growth of growth.
Investors can put money in EA and they know they'll get their due profits thanks to sports games, but if they invested in some other company that was actually growing, they'd get far more. And if they invested in the company that grows the most, they'd get far more in long term too.
I'm not so sure sports games are enough anymore.
In fact, considering the whole idea behind the new remaster of Command & Conquer, it's more likely that they are panicking and want to re-captivate older markets that they need once again, which is likely why they're going with an RTS since there's little competition there.

While other companies are outright pulling games from that country because who cares about one country's worth of profit, right goyim?, EA's response was so stupidly disrespectful and dismissive that it has directly impacted their profits and stock prices. The customers aren't happy and haven't been for years, but that never mattered so long as the publisher meets their quotas; the reason for the stock price drop is that the promise of future profits has been impacted negatively, and investors (who are already never pleased with performance and demand more) are screaming at EA to fix this mess, because the stock market is fueled by projection and speculation, not any real measure of growth; Facebook's stock dropped nearly 20% a couple months back because they reported that they were not creating as many new accounts as expected, and therefore profit was still up, but not as high as expected.
If Belgium sets this precedent, the spark will create a massive backlash that could see similar legislation or a new era of consumer protection laws enacted that will threaten not just EA, but many AAA publishers. Considering that microtransactions, DLC, subscription services, and other recurring charges are half or more of most of these corporations' profits right now, that is an immense amount of money that goes down the drain. This isn't the recipe for the crash that we all want, but it sure as fuck will be funny to watch people screaming in the streets that the end is nigh.
What will most likely happen is EA will replace their CEO or some other executives and get right back to the grind, that is likely the first thing to change. If that doesn't work, investors will force them to do something hasty with no further guidance, probably a drastic change that even the analysts will have trouble understanding the impact from.
