After seeing all these tarkov threads I really need to put this to rest since more people are still buying it.
DO NOT BUY IT
-The developers of this game have clearly shown in the past year that when money is rolling in from their customers they become lazy asses that
1. Suck at Programming – (they made it so you can un-compile the code of the game and comment out specific things and recompile it, might as well be source code)
2. break the programming of previous devs work, Half a step forward, 2 steps back has become the motto of the game since .9
3. are extremely slow at creating new content. in 1 year they made what feels like 80% of the game and the 2 years after that have felt like only another 20% of content has been added. hence why SOON^tm has become another motto for when stuff comes out since its useally 4 times what they say.
4. They are extremely out of Scope. if you've followed the game at all the end product "supposedly" will be an open world mmofpsrpg. right now its an odd kind of Hardcore PvP fps that alot of the fans liked, myself included and what they "plan" for will probably take another 5 years at the rate they're going.
when the devs didn't have money flowing in they worked harder and smarter cause they needed a product that would sell, now that it sells without any hardwork needed, why should they work? more than half the playerbase bought the EOD edition which is 140$ when it was a smaller passion project that money meant more because it was the playerbase's way of saying "finally the game I've always wanted", either that or "fuck it, I die so fucking much so im gonna shill out so i can get the Gamma container for no risk pistol runs"
If you've already payed for it, sure fine play it, it can be fun when it works, i still occasionally play it and they already have your money and there's no way of getting it back.
==but== what you shouldn't do is buy it until all the bullshit gets fixed which will probably not be for another year if at all.
