I would recommend Harvest Moon: Tale of two towns. The game isn't strictly about cooking only, but theres a mechanic which makes cooking somewhat important. And it's fun to work towards getting the best possible ingredients. The modern story of seasons games also have tons of recipes to cook, but cooking is more of a sidenote there

cooking simulator is coming out in about a week, looks promising.

Cataclysm DDA

There's a new game coming out on Switch tomorrow (from Kemco, so it's definitely not AAA) that presents itself as basically Rune Factory but you also run a restaurant.

Forgot to mention the name of the game, it's Marenian Tavern Story.

It has farming and dungeon crawling on top of running a restaurant. I'm kinda interested but it's Kemco so it's 50/50 as to whether it's gutter trash.

How interesting is the cooking in Little Dragon's Cafe for the Switch? I remember a thread being made for the game, but I don't remember if it was made before or after the game was released.

You can pirate it on pc if you want to try it out yourself. It's pretty basic and I found it kind of tedious. Game play revolves around going to resource points and gathering it, taking it back and cooking through a rhythm mini game.

The first Cooking Mama is top tier gamer fuel challenge. Getting gold is seriously more challenging than it should be and I had lots of fun playing it with my sister.

Other than that I guess Papa's Burgeria and related games and of course that one vidya from Nintendo that had a chef walk you through recipes, that was pretty cool.

I agree but "French fries" always annoyed me, they aren't French fries if they aren't French cut. Also pea croquettes sound disgusting.

Until you can electronically record taste/smell, food crafting (cooking) is going to sux.

If you have a friend or two, I highly recommend Overcooked 2. It's a bit short but fun while it lasts.
