I have some others in mind but I think they're a bit of a stretch

Can't be a thread about cartoonish and cartoon inspired games without cuphead.

Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure was animated by Kroyer Films the same people responsible for FernGully. There was also Disney's Aladdin on Genesis and Mickey Mania was nicely animated.

It's not a cartoon, but I don't see enough people ever mentioning it, so I'll give an honorable mention to this.

Toonstruck, perhaps.

It's a point-and-click game where you play as FMV Christopher Lloyd in a cartoon land trying to gather up all the macguffins for the plot device. Lots of voice acting by recognizable people in the animation industry. Writing tends to be on the good side.

A few pretty bullshit moments, like the toilet fish and phone quiz, but beyond that, it's breddy gud. Some cartoon logic required.

So if you want to click on almost anything and get Christopher Lloyd and his animated friend giving you flavor text, maybe try Toonstruck.

Or just watch like some random slices of a longplay, if that didn't sell you on it.

Rampage is pretty toony.

Every chapter feels like its own self contained story. Kinda like watching a Saturday cartoon where every episode has a different theme, like the spooky chapter or pirate chapter, etc.

My african american person, this was as they say, the tits. Shame about the lackluster final stage and boss.

I was gonna post the cover for this game but I found this Hebrew review magazine and, you know, I guess it makes it even more American.

Disney's Aladdin on the SNES was a pleasant surprise for me as a kid and it's still fun to play now.

There was a megadrive version made by Virgin (SNES was Capcom), it had better animations but worse game design overall.

Posting "Pizza Tower", a game being made and obviously aping Wario Land, with some nice 90s cartoon animation

It's a well made game, and hard as hell if you want to 100% it. I wish (((Disney))) now had games as solid as the ones (((Capcom))) and Virgin made for them back then.
