I tell you, having to do those hundreds of banal and superfluous story quests before you can do anything fun is the number one reason I quit that game. Aren't you forced to watch cutscenes you haven't watched before? Aren't you forced to spend something like 100+ hours leveling through old, irrelevant content (including many hours of cutscenes, that you can't skip) to reach the current content? Isn't the quality of the cutscenes atrocious? That's the impression I got from my friends who made the mistake of playing that game. Most of them just said fuck it, buying a boost to skip this trash. Says a lot about the quality of the story, writing, and cutscenes.

To be fair, that claim is very misleading. A lot of those 'cutscenes' are just shot-reverse-shot dialogue stuff.
