Seeking advice about the game IS a way of gitting good anon.

How do I get better at Xonotic or arena shooter tips in general.

I can bunnyhop/strafejump around corners, have good aim with projectile and hitscan, but my map strategy (weapon/pickup locations and timer) is really shit and map control is an important aspect in duels.

Also how do I get good at RTS (Command & Conquer). I just want to build a pretty base and build a versatile army instead of a generic tank blob.

How about starting with an rts with an active pause and figuring out how it works out until you can move to those which don't have an active pause? You will learn basic strategies that are avalible to you in real time and certain ways of thinking you need to follow and will do them more automatically. Total War for example.

I know this sounds like advice you'd read anywhere, but you really need to shoot where someone is going to be rather than where they are.

There's a shitty little game called Ratz Instagib that really highlights this because you won't make a single kill if you don't. You need to move quickly and in an unpredictable manner while trying to predict your opponents moves and shoot in relation to that.

This transfers across pretty much all arena shooters.

I have no specific advice on demons except that there is nothing wrong with having multiple demons to cover different elements or -kaja/-nda spells. Stop limiting yourself to 3 demons.

Solid advice there, really your entire demon stock should be full of useful alternates, not just fodder for fusions.

As I recall from SJ the neutral alignment doesn't have many good healers until mid-late game, so you might have to toe outside of your alignment for some party members. The damage bonus from demon co-op is very useful, but having the right spell at the right time is invaluable.

As far as team building goes, just try to keep at least one elemental attack type of each of the major elements, two if you're nearing a boss. Of course, optimally you'd want each character to have at least one skill effective against the boss of the particular sector, but of course if you've never played before and aren't using a guide, you won't know that till it's too late, but either way, try not to rely too heavily on debuffs because mid and late game bosses punish you for using them too much. Buffs help out a bit more, and you won't need them as much once you get to the womb of grief and find the Demonee-ho sidequests. Eventually he'll give you an item that basically randomly gives you a free luster candy every so often. If you're still around level 30 or so, fuse Black Frost asap. He's ridiculously overpowered for his level. Password to get him is:

Avatar Makami is also a solid offensive choice that can carry you even to level 60 if you invest some demon sources into him. Code is:

I don't know what alignment you're going, but if you take Makami's demon source and give it to Dantalian, you have a level 33 chaos demon thats pretty fucking resilient and is good at casting. His code is:

Finding some of the special fiends early on will also help you alot. Like getting Alice from sector Fornax, I believe. She's level 39 and can kick some serious shit in. I'll give you the code because reasons.

Aside from that, just try to get as many special fusions out as you can. A good handful of them are pretty damn useful, even as fusion fodder.

Also, fusing Oroboros and giving her a demon source with any kind of fire resistance will create an annoyingly durable demon. Try to find and keep a source like that until you beat her and unlock her fusion recipe.

I buff myself with everything - haste, prayer, mage armor, barkskin, shield, divine weapon, etc.. whatever I can think off, scrolls, staffs, potions.

I have a party that better than it should be, since I tweaked the stats of some party members to be less retarded and have customi mercs too.

That fucking troll king murder my entire group in 5 seconds flat. He's hasted, a HP sponge with constant rapid attacks that kills any party member in 3 hits (and he attacks 3 times a round)

Even with the AC bonus as high as I can get it he almost never seems to miss.
