>Sup /v/ game dev here. I have an idea for a game and was looking for feedback.
You were wise to come to /v/ first.
>I want to make a game about killing communists set in California in the year 2021.
I have just pre-ordered your game.
>Trump won, California separated and then quickly collapsed into street warfare between patriots and antifa terrorists.
Good premise, will have to have a deep lore explaining how it realistically separated.
>It would most likely be an extreme reflexes top down shooter like Hotline Miami.
Potential but now it is all about the combat not and the good story premise becomes a bit mute. You will have to tell the story thru the environment then, like some parts of Fallout 3. This puts pressure on your graphical presentation-- it would have to be stellar.
>The goal is to crush the revolution and make the state rejoin the US which is refusing to interfere due to fear of the civil war spreading throughout the other states. To this end, missions would be strategically linked together towards crushing the revolution: spying, identifying supply lines then ambushing and raiding them, assaulting enemy bases and camps, taking prisoners and using them to negotiate, etc.
This is all very good.
>Does this game sound fun / would you play it? Any feedback or ideas?
Keep the controversy generated just to the premise, be sure to not have things that can be pointed to as racist or hate speech etc… Also, make subtle fun without slander for example, show the connection between the useful idiot (student) and Marxist professor.
>And what could happen to me if this game is attached to my real identity? Nothing if you play your cards right. Good luck
