DQ11 is garbo.

Skill tree has less options and worse options.

MC by law in this game must be a sword fag, you must spec in sword.

Combat is super boring where you go massive amounts of time with no progress in it.

Story might be your thing.

Just Emulate DQ3 through 9 and the Monster Joker series or other stuff in it.

My DQXI pro-tip is to not let the good parts of the story sucker you into getting too invested in it. It doesn't keep up the momentum of the first act at all. The main plot falls apart towards the end and the postgame is a strange callback/tie-in to the first three games, a complete nostalgia-bait waste of effort better spent expanding the world of XI.

Gameplay and visuals are great though.
