What are some weapons, items, or tools you really enjoy using in a game? Which of those are the best? Do you prefer weapons that have a high learning curve to perform a very specific task, or do you like overpowered shit that can destroy anything with little effort?
>Dancer's Enchanted Swords
This is fun if you want to turn into a beyblading faggot. I find it especially useful in areas where they are gangs of weak enemies. Just spin around like a toilet brush and wipe out the whole crowd. I don't find these particularly useful in any other situation I prefer the Black Knight Greatsword but they're still fun to whip out during a gank.
>Reflexor
This is the yellow pew pew gun from Jak 3, except this version of it bounces your shots off the walls and you can create fuck loads of these. it would absolutely decimate a room full of enemies while you proceeded through the level. I vaguely remember the rate of fire on this being slower than the default version of this gun, but that didn't stop it from bouncing hundreds of shots around the room.

This weapon has too many problems to be viable compared to other weapons, but it was a gun that you could customize to either be a one-hit-kill shotgun, or a fuckhuge explosive round. Blacklight had a lot of fun guns.

The rope bow from Dark Messiah was always fun, you could use it to get to all the little corners of the levels that you weren't really suppoed to.
More games should feature climable ropes with swinging physics.

Gunlance in Monster Hunter, especially in XX where you have the Blast Dash. It's like someone looked at the lance, and the heavy bowgun and thought "Why not Both" and strapped a gun on the end of his bayonet. You get all the poke of the lance, the great shield but you also get a METRIC FUCKTON OF EXPLOSIONS for when the monster has an open moment. Feels good. Feels real good.
Then I played XX/Generations Ultimate and the game gifted my pryotechnic-loving self with the ability to turn my lance into a rocket booster and smash myself into monsters. It big, reckless and more often gets me carted than it does damage, but if I were to say it weren't fun or that I didn't eagerly await for my HA gauge to fill back up to do it again I'd be lying through my teeth.
That being said I love it for the same reason I love the powderkeg hunters in Bloodborn: because they looked at something and thought "What if it could explode?"

Zone of The Enders: The 2nd Runner, for PS2.
The teleport function of Jehuty is hinted through the whole game, and you get it only in the final level. And it shows how overpower it is.
It is great to play teleporting around freely, and former difficult enemies can be easily destroyed now. It really nails the sense of upgrading your mecha to it's full potential.
The best part is that the final boss also uses that, and the teleport that you have is mandatory to even get a chance to hit him at all, making the last fight memorable and difficult, after a breeze trough the final level.

Its a one time use. You can also play Love Deterrence to calm former Mother Base soldiers down for an easier Fulton. There is also a tape of someone with a stomach ache in the toilet, haven't tried it but maybe it makes the nearest guard need to use the toilet. Or repulses them for you to have an extra second to fight back or run if need be.

I originally planned to nab that container of diamonds before heading out the rear gate of the base, only to discover that you can jump on the container, fulton it as usual, and then hang on to the fulton to get back to the ACC. Try it, it's fucking great when you need to make quick escapes.
