And on the subject of point and click there's the Darkseed games, I don't see them discussed on /v/ that often, I love the second one, it takes a lot after Twin Peaks, they're mostly known for the Giger artwork that they straight up use for backgrounds.

I still have fond memories of those flash games with a shitload of jumpscares. Also, although really horror, I think Scooby-Doo Mystery is a really good halloween themed game. It's one of my most beloved childhood games.

Was it one of those flash point and click games? I remember there was a Garfield one, that had out of place jump scares, that shit was weird, sadly it's been lost to time. Speaking of obscure, there's the Last half of darkness games, there were 3 of them, and were fairly basic, but weird as well.

No, that scooby doo one is a genesis and snes game. It's pretty cute and hilarious and has a bunch of cool animated sequences, felt like I was watching a real scooby doo cartoon.

There were a lot of point and click horror flash games I played, but the only one which title I remember is The House. There was a really interesting one too that combined first person shooter and point and click puzzles. It was a really good game that didn't only rely on jumpscares.

It reminds me of the countless "Escape the room" type flash games from way back, remember "Crimson Room" and its many sequels? None of them had jumpscares or any of that stuff, but somehow managed to be extremely creepy in a way. I will shit bricks if someone remembers this one obscure flash game, instead of escaping a room, it was a house, it had this cartoony 3d early 00s edgy punk style, and in order to escape, you had to do different tasks from the inhabitants of the house (all of them punk like and edgy), one task was like a minigame involving feeding a mean looking dog, I've tried to find it for years, but I just can't.

I just found out that Crimson room got a remake in 2016 and is currently on steam, this is pretty fucking unreal since it used to be a simple flash game, I'm kinda wondering if more of these types of games will be turned into actual full fledged games. Hopefully not on steam though
