I don’t get why people are so up in arms about dead weeks of how we didn’t get the 4 Million downloads campaign.
We have been cheating by looking ahead and seeing which banner to save for and thus are not spending money that the server needs to survive. Quite frankly I don’t mind not getting Jalter banner or if the banners are different now. Hell I prefer it.
I would love to have a banner for Waver or for other disregarded 5 stars because they need love too. Jalter should be rare and you guys shouldn’t be stock piling your Quartz. You should contribute to the hard work that Albert is putting into this server to make it a nice, enjoyable experience.
Look at it from their perspective: stop complaining about the lack of free quartz and enjoy the weeks where there are no events so you can relax and recharge your batteries. Do some hand or door missions and actually enjoy the game instead of grinding so hard. Appreciate what we have. I myself enjoy these off weeks so I can save up more money to buy my vice in this world: Soy Milk. I can actually have time to play Dark Souls on my Nintendo Switch with my wife’s black boyfriend.

Some people even lost their daily login rewards due to the Okeanos issue and it wasn't at all rectified because DW can't even run a bath. Okay so I most DEFINITELY noticed some serious toxicity in this general, and I think we need to work on improving ourselves to make it a safer place for all by doing a few things.
1. Stop waver shaming people. We need to recognize that not everyone has waver, and that there is nothing wrong with having a strong and healthy grailed hans on the support list. In fact, you never know! Maybe that grailed hans is just better for certain things than Waver, have you ever tried it?
2. Stop NP shaming. Now, I think this is a huge toxic and disgusting tendency that this general has. Vlad is a good servant, so are other NP1 servants, so when we see them we need to not attack people on sight for it.
3. Be accepting of all servants. Some people like Tamamo, some people like Gramps, others like Jalter. There is the problematic issue when people leap to attacking people due to their favorite servant, and in the end, isn't this just a game where we collect all of our favorite waifus and husbandos? There should be no hate, just love!
4. Stop complaining about the translators so much. The translators are doing a huge favor to us as a community. They're giving us a great and awesome product that we wanted and now love, so we are we hating on them so much? If anything we should be thanking them for striving to deliver such an awesome thing to us. This ESPECIALLY means we need to cut the friggin racism from this general. The amount of times I've seen someone say sean***er? Ugh. It gets sooooo annoying
5. We should do create an official discord for our thread so that we can organize together more and get to know each other more than ever! Even though there are certainly… problematic elements in the community, that doesn't mean there aren't some super cool people too! I think it would be great if there was a channel where we could all gather and just have a grand old time with each other.

China is only ahead because they received 100 quartz for censoring characters, otherwise they are about on par with us. TW and JP got a number of quartz for server issues NA did not have. To go further to include Maintenance compensation when comparing quartz rates is ludicrous because it's a fundamentally different reason for why you're getting it. One is as an apology because the game wasn't working correctly, and thus, you shouldn't get it unless the game is working incorrectly. Now, if you wanted to try and compare that say, JP compensates more for a 3 hour maintenance than an NA 3 hour maintenance go ahead. But apologems are another matter entirely from giveaways and should be it's own separate comparison. In fact if you remove all of NA's maintenance and JP's maintenance, you'd most likely find out that NA has far higher quartz than JP got.
Hell, if you remove the maintenance quartz JP is left with 271 quartz almost 2/3 of the quartz JP received in the first year was for maintenance and the summons were worse as well. Meanwhile NA without maintenance is sitting pretty at 351. Really in the end comparing any of the international servers to JP for anything other than schedule is fucking ludicrous. I don't mind anyone thinking Korea has got it better because speed and higher SQ per a day but JP quartz is majority maintenance quartz.

Good time to butt in, what do you guys personally find most fun about FGO? I came in knowing I am never supporting the gachashit and what I find most enjoyable is scrapping by with limited resources in these types of games. Besides free quartz/tickets you're gonna suck it up if you don't get SSRs or MLB 5* CE's and the struggle of beating everything with weaker teams makes it that much more worth it. Whatever you do manage to get your hands on feels more meaningful knowing you can't be handed any extra with the swipe of a credit card.
Whales in any gachashit on the other hand are confusing because you don't actually need to have a massive roster of NP maxed SSRs or following a tier list meta to succeed but some still choose to sink in thousands of dollars to do it. I can understand operating and max efficiency and their version of the struggle would be figuring out how to clear everything as quickly as possible but there are many other games where you can do this without spending an insane amount of money.

Honestly its the story and characters. Every single character gets so much lore and info, from nasuverse stuff to real legends. Iits become my go to stepping block to branch out and research history, so far none of the stories ive looked into because of fgo characters have been anything less than fantastic. It was also the kick I needed to finally get into the nasuverse as well.
My start into it was pure cancer, only started the game because Astolfo is hot. Funnily enough, rolled Saber right away, having no real knowledge of her. By time I finished the stay night route of the v/n she was my second favorite servant and one of my strongest in fgo. I also constantly roll her. Np4 Saber, np2 Titoria, np2 Squirtoria.
Honestly all other gacha games bore me since this was my first, I look at them and go "where's the content?"
Sure feh and gfl have more in depth combat, but they have no extra side stories. They dont even list the guns real manufacture year or country or company half the time. Fate gives you them, their va, interludes, and more!

The main draw for me and what's still keeping me around are the servants themselves. Making meme teams like F/SN or Extra themed teams, or even doing things like reuniting the Gorgon sisters again is pretty great. As my roster grew I got to appreciate the newer servants like the punch saint Martha or Bedivere; even other versions of servants like Artoria Lancer Alter or Saber Lancelot are pretty interesting to work with - that is, as long as DW decides to fucking do anything with them in the story/events.
The story is also getting pretty good and I loved the shit out of Camelot, since I felt it got a great emotional boost from having read the Fate route beforehand.

It depends on the fictional servants if they're real or not, Phantom of the Opera and Dr. Jekyll are both the real people that those figures were based on having those character's traits projected onto them via the Innocent Monster skill. Similar to Vlad. With Frankenstein and Mephisto they are real but they're literally in a world of magic, why wouldn't the guy who made Frankenstein actually be a magus? Eh the way it's described change. Nasu draws a clear line between those who were worshipped (Heracles eventually becoming a god, Romulus etc) and those were are just figures in later stories that can not be considered mythical or legendary. The closest to a "fictional" character that was summoned in anything in Stay Night was Fake Assassin but the basis for Fake Assassin was an historical amalgamation of Musashi's rivals When Musashi is summoned she even remarks that he is "different from that one" so he's just a person like Vlad getting someone else's traits projected onto him.

Early on(pre CM3 at least) everyone was considered to have existed at one point which is why Kojiro was the way he was. There was no real Sasaki so a substitute had to be found. But Nasu's been changing things since he's been going deeper down the Greek philosophy hole with the years.

Apparently yes, your argument makes sense if that was what Gudako actually did, but Gudako doesn't do that. Gudako doesn't leave battle tactics to Waver, he does it himself with Mashu and co. She is one of the most competent masters in the 5th War, and that's when she's 17 years old. Given decades of training, it's pretty fucking clear why she'd be top-tier - and yet, even then, she's still stated to be be well below the best.
Shirou has offense, yes. Then compare him to Bazzett, who can literally speed-blitz a GoB spam - or even survive one. She's a Sealing Designation Enforcer, sure, so of course she kills Magi. But she's still well below the top-dog mages, despite the fact that she can 100% annihilate him (or 17-year-old Rin) at any point, even at his best. That's not even considering Mystic Codes like Kayneth's which could neutralize his best attacks, monsters like Araya or Touko, summoned things, or some asshole using Flash Air to pop his swords behind him and take him out.

Bazett is overpowered by Leysritt who has B-rank strength and pretty much zero skill in melee. Shirou can with a one bar spell give himself A-rank strength with the skills of a legendary swordsman, allowing him to go toe-to-toe with Heracles for fucks sake. That's his basic spell, which he doesn't even need an aria for which means its effectively instant. And he can do it eight times in a row even at his absolute weakest, assuming you can even break the fucking thing.
