Can any techfags guess how World Championship 2011 straight up hates and keeps fucking up my roommate's New 2DS? Having the wording like that changes the timing of the summon. With the wording that we have (immediatly after…), it happens after the effect is resolved, and has all the normal synchro timings, like being negate-able by something like Horn of Heaven

With the other wording, the summon happens within the effect, which would make it immune to Horn, because it's not a monster being summoned, but instead an effect that special summons a monster

Do you mean the online servers or lan mode? For mode the one that is joining has to write the IP of the host. If it is online make sure both are on the same server (there is an EU and USA one, you can select them manually). If your room has a password it is hidden until "show locked rooms" is clicked for the one that wants to join.

A level 7 Neos monster that works like Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon or a Level 4 (Non-Gemini) Neos monster whose name becomes Elemental Hero Neos in the hand, field or GY. Both can't be tributed (avoiding the pesky Kaiju shit) and if they're removed from the field by any means, special summon Neos from the deck, hand or GY.

It enables you to run a lot of dead cards you don't want to draw (equips for Isolde, Hero Kid, Zephyros the Elite, etc), the decks that do that search a ton and can search almost anything at any time so you could play an even larger deck if it was allowed, all you need is to draw some way to Isolde (of which you run many) and you can make a full board. Dark Warrior Toolbox is actually pretty fun imo, I'm a big fan of combo decks and it's one that allows a lot of build freedom and can be as cancerous (Danger FTK/Extra Link) or not (Dark Synchro/XYZ) as you feel like playing it.

Granted…Summon Skull supports are ass for the most part (the only good Summoned Skull card is Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning and that's only because you can trick it out with Black Stone of Legend). XYZ being my favourite probably, though Synchro was fun too. Pendulum (probably none of this means much to you actually) didn't begin that bad, probably because old type of cards were getting new usage, but when Pendulums truly started shinning, I started losing interest.

Most of the grind is not even related to PvP, the only thing that matters. But even the PvP forced you to play a certain number of games to get some good cards or fuck you. There is no freedom and no relaxing. It is just a mundane job to log in every day and waste your time doing the daily grinds, several times a day at that if you want to actually maximize the grind. There is none that specifically mentions effects like that ever since PCST got introduced, but I think that you can still make the case with just PSCT. Discarding a card and targeting a Lightsworn monster in the GY happens at the same time for the purposes of determining whether or not you can activate an effect, as there is a semicolon after the mentioned card text. Without having a card in hand to discard as a cost and/or without having a Lighstworn in the GY to target, you cannot resolve the effect of special summoning the targeted monster. This is despite the fact that when you actually are able to trigger the effect, the sequence of events goes, in order: Discard a card (cost) > target a Lightsworn in the GY (target) > SS it (resolution). This also in theory allows you to target and SS the discarded card, if it is a Lightsworn monster.

I had fun playing Sylvans. I wanted to play Gongenzaka's story but I have no idea how to combo with a no magic or trap deck. There's also the issue that my greatest enemy is your ally, because usually the ai is legit retarded and doesn't know its own deck combos.

Actually I started getting old YGOPro decks mostly from 2013-2015 and put several into the game and thinking of put several more, it just that the process is super slow and annoying. The game is great in the sense it has everything up until and including the XYZ generation. Some of the extra Pendulum gen decks are also nice.

So I started playing the game more (on my phone) mostly using Alive Heroes for now. There is a good variety of enemy deck types, kind of similar to the WC 2011, but it is hard to know who plays what, because most of opponents are human characters, so you have to remember them. And here comes one of the big problems, the decks are ultimately shit. WC 2011 for example had Blackwing that used Dark Armed Dragon. This would not happen in TFS. The decks are extremely archetype related and will even use the shitty games.

The second problem is that the AI is sadly absolutely retarded, not just the friendly one for tag duels. Their biggest negative probably being that the moment you have set cards they start playing extremely defence and just lose the duels by setting monsters. Sometimes they seem to start doing some smart combo, but stop in the middle and do something stupid. It is very unfortunate.

WC 2011, even if not genius, the AI still seems like the best one to me, it is more of a challenge. But no XYZs. Not even Quasar. Not being able to play even the full on the Synchro gen sucks. I just want to have fun YGO experience with an AI and on the go, damn it!

Maybe I should just play Tag Force 1. Because of the simplicity of the game the AI badness is not that obvious and the duels take a bit more time. Maybe the same is true up to 3? I get the feeling it wasn't, but I haven't played any of them any really.
