It's good coop, that's it, you're gonna be annoyed with how they didn't learn lessons from Destiny and Memelands on leveled-loot + scaled enemies = bullet sponge bullshit.

SW2 is kind of like the first one except fused with Borderlands, meaning procedurally generated levels (copypasted template rooms you'll get quickly tired of), a shittier story (SW1's was actually decent, hence why one could get disappointed about how things turned out in SW2), enemies frequently have bullshit damage auras, the loot you get isn't cool new weapons but just shitty mods like in Warframe, except even worse because the UI is just dogshit for sifting through all these mods. The upgrade system is more in depth than SW1 but it takes ages for your build to get anywhere special. Enemy types also no longer feel as distinct because encounter design is non-existent and every enemy has random buffs slapped on

At least guns are actually useful now and the movement system is more fluid and expanded, but that's about it

2 isn't anything like 1. It used to be a solidly designed FPS with sword combat, now it's borderlands. Also Lo Wang went from a campy badass to literally *nods respectfully* cuck with no edge at all.

Should clarify, that enemies scale via difficulty, just annoyed at the enemy scaling numbers and how ridiculous it is that several rewards are only on the main story missions, free roaming is not worth it, dunno how true this is now because they've been updating it non-stop.

Might try it, though it doesn't look as fun. I couldn't finish SW1 because of some lighting bug that annoyed the fuck out of me. Never found a solution for it and they never fixed it themselves. It was a decent game besides that.

While the gunplay and movement are improved from the first game. Every other aspect of the game isn't as good.

There is no level design whatsoever since the areas are procedurally generated. basicly there are 4 jigsaw piece corners for every map and there swapped around when ever you pick a mission, so nothing ends up feeling memorable since they all had to be made to fit together.

The story is also phoned in. The first game Low Wang and Hoji are stuck with each other through circumstance and then end up forming a bond by the end, so you actually end up caring about Hoji, In SW2 they repeat this same plot point of forcing Low Wang to be stuck with whats her name "I forgot what it was" and she's just comes of as "not Hoji"

There's really no weight to anything in the story.

Still It's not actually a bad game, and for free it's worth giving a shot, but after the first game and seeing the trailers, I was expecting something better then what it was.
