Hell no, Rhythm Heaven got an installment 2 years ago on the 3DS. The last F-Zero installment was 12 years ago.

It never got a Wii U game, it had a Wii game, Rhythm Heaven Fever (or known in Europe as Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise, that version has both English and Japanese tracks unlike the NA version with only English).

Your confusion must be resulting from it's re-release as one of the many digital downloadable Wii titles for the Wii U.

The 3DS one is not really good, very short songs and kinda easy. Maybe it gets better toward the end because I haven't seen all of the songs yet.

The first few songs are short tutorial levels, but the songs start getting longer and harder when you get to Lush Tower and get the fake out ending that reveals that you need to complete 6 additional towers to finish the game. And that doesn't include the post story where you get 3 additional lands and 3 final towers as well as all the optional unlockable minigames.
