In all seriousness, she's the best armoured infantry slayer. Once you get the right mods you can deal 50 % or more of the team's damage quite regularly.

So I decided to try out mirage again but I feel like I am missing something on her eclipse, I only get a slight increase in damage. The speed certainly was difficult. Especially after the shrine nerf but before the retreat nerf, a 5x3 felt like world top 20 raiding in WoW and was so hard that there was no video of it for a while as each group that was capable of it was guarding their secrets. Required nearly perfect execution and a lot of things that'd get called exploits in other games.

It was one of the few ways in warfarm that one could rise above the other players through skill. I made a huge amount of plat doing 5x3s twice a day with a regular group back when the arcanes were still worth something.

Every group had their own set and most still aren't public as we all plan to abuse the fuck out of flydolon with them. One that did become public thanks to PS4 faggots desperate to prove themselves was the teleport strat to shave time off between having killed hydro and having exited the plains. There's up to 5 seconds per hydro you can save if you cause the lures to teleport to the door right after killing hydro but before the lures burst. The group can travel to the door after having killed hydro and receive the loot there, eliminating the the travel time delay. The PS4 guys had to use this for the shrine as they weren't getting there before it activates reliably due to console controls.

Fast groups got to the point that they were up against hard caps except for the initial charge and the Cetus door. The initial charge was solved by spawn manipulation (our strat was to replace harrow with ivara and steal an extra charge from a vom pair which worked ok but not as well as spawn manipulation), and the Cetus door through the 'leave strat' - the party splitting up before exiting and being re-invited by Chroma once back in to avoid host migration sync delay. Then the rest are secret sauce exploits to soften 'hard' caps like the teleport strat cutting the seemingly uncuttable time after hydro.

If you want youtube advice then I would recommend Brozime. He makes good guides and has a lot of insight into the game. He never follows through on his nerdrage rants, so some of the niggers here don't like him.

This game changes every six months so information gets dated quickly, but some fundamental things have stayed the same.

Always level gear to level thirty before selling it for credits. Levelling gear for the first time increases your mastery. Master rank is a general progress mark. Certain weapons can be traded with other players if they have not been used yet.

Primes/vandals/wraiths/prismas are versions of weapons with superior statistics. Primes are gained through void relics.

Mods improve your frames and weapons. They drain mod space.

Increasing the level of gear allows for more mod space.

Fusion is a process which uses credits and endo to increase the power and drain of a mod.

Orokin Catalysts and reactors double the mods space of weapons and frames. You cannot earn these consistently.

Alerts are limited time missions which occasionally have good stuff. Invasions are similar, but must be done thrice to get the reward.

Failing that, it's more a few things you need to remember to make your life easier.

1- Don't spend your starting plat on cosmetics. Buy slots for weapons or frames.

2- Don't buy plat. The game is geared to tempt you to with bullshit drops and time gates but it's just not worth it in the end to buy plat

3- Grab Excalibur or Volt as your starter (nothing wrong with mag, but she's the lesser of the three for starting off)

4- Join a clan with completed research early so you can leech off of it for easy weapons and a few frames

That's basically it for beginners that I can think of. Starting off you just need to finish the tutorial quests and murder your way through planets which is self-explanitory. I guess junctions will be a pain in the ass, but I had the start chart finished way before they were a thing so doing them was more to be able to do quests.

First, you need to temper your expectations. To help you do that, I shall explain what Warframe is;

So, to put it simply, this game is all about doing the same handful of missions over and over again, but with different objectives in mind. To clarify, sometimes you'll do a defense or survival mission because you want to level a warframe or weapon to max level, and other times you may do it because you want to collect a certain type of resource that drops from the enemies that spawn on that map. To give you a simple example, let me clarify some terms;

- credits: in game currency that is quite common and used for non-premium purchases

- endo: a currency that is used to improve your mod abilities

- platinum: the premium currency, you can purchase this from DE's website or get it by trading with players

- mods: special items that can be slotted into your warframes and weapons to augment their abilities. These usually improve passive stats, but sometimes offer new abilities or changes to existing abilities. Mods will consume a weapon's capacity, each mod has a number printed on its top right hand side that indicates how much capacity it consumes, and mod capacity increases with rank ; mods have different polarities; a mod placed into a slot that shares its polarity will consume roughly half its total capacity, and since some mods consume a lot of capacity, and your overall capacity is limited, you'll sometimes have to change the polarity of your slot in order to use the mod you want and still have enough capacity for other mods.

- orokin cell/reactor: As mentioned, mods are slotted into your frames and weapons to upgrade their stats. Each weapon and frame will have a baseline of 30 mod capacity at max rank. These items will double your weapon or frame's mod capacity.

- forma: special crafted items that will change the polarity of a weapon or warframe's mod slot

Let's say you want to get a new weapon. First, you have to make sure you have enough platinum so you can purchase some inventory slots, otherwise you're going to have to delete an existing weapon in order to make room for your new one. You need at least 12p for two slots. Then, you need to figure out how to acquire the weapon. Weapons are crafted using blueprints, so you need to get your hands on the blueprint for the weapon you want. A large majority of the weapons can be purchased for credits in the marketplace, but there are also quite a few that are dropped by boss fights, and others can be acquired through joining a clan and getting access to their research. Once you get the blueprint, you now need to figure out what resources you need to acquire to build the weapon. A lot of weapons only require common resources, but there are a number of them that will require specially procured and rare resources. You may spend hours or days trying to get the resources you need to build your weapon. Then, once you've gathered all the resources, you're ready to build. Now, you will have to wait 12 real-world hours before you can finally use your weapon, unless you're willing to put some platinum into the foundry in order to speed up the process. After 12 hours, finally your weapon is ready to go. Congratulations! However, don't celebrate too soon, because getting a weapon is only half the battle. You'll quickly realize that the weapon that you get straight out of the foundry is shit.

You don't want your weapon to be shit, do you? No, you don't. What do you do? You have to consult your inventory for any mods you may have on hand that will fit the weapon. If you don't have any good mods, then you'll have to figure out where the mods you want to acquire will drop, and then go grind until you finally get the mod you want. Once you get your mods, you will have to make sure you have enough endo and credits to invest into them so they will be effective. Each mod starts at base rank and must be transfused in order to be worthwhile. Once that's done, you need to make sure your weapon has enough capacity to hold all the mods you want to use. If it doesn't, then you'll need to find a way to get an orokin reactor and some forma to install on your weapon so your mods won't consume as much capacity. Then, finally, at the end of this lengthy and time consume process - and depending on whether or not you used worthwhile mods to begin with - you'll be able to see your weapon's full potential. Well, if this sounds like fun, then you take this exact process and extend it to virtually everything else in the game. Endless grind for what may turn out to be a worthless endeavor. Just sell prime junk you collect on the trading channel. Start learning what is in demand and work on getting that. Aside from buying it there's no way to directly generate plat but you can trade with other players.

Number of trades per day is equal to your Mastery Rank, I think and you need to be MR 2 or higher to trade. Getting cozy with a syndicate or three is an easy way to make plat since augment mods can always sell for at least 10p. You should go for 15p whenever possible though so you don't get lowballed.

Warframe.market is a good place for price checking as well. Even if you don't use it directly, it's easy to find buyers/sellers there.

Actually I can't really do an autistic post on every place that might be good for farming so I'll just say that ESO Rotation A looks really good for getting the Lith relics at around 10%, but you also have a chance of getting the Meso at under 5%. Pre-radianted mind you. And you will need all of Chroma's relics radianted since his parts are all rare and uncommon.

Anons may not be directly buying plat, but their activities are encouraging it. Similarly, another way to look at it is that when a product is free then chances are you are the product. There's a lot to be said about this. Does trading boost the economy since it lowers prices and therefore boosts the value of plat? Does playing Kabbalah Simulator (buy low/ sell high/ contribute nothing) have the opposite effect since prices are artificially inflated and the value of plat goes down? Does that make it okay? I don't think he's correct. Trading plat is lossless. I fully expected there to be a tax on trades as a form of wear when I came here and was surprised there wasn't. There isn't even wear on items - I can rub my dick all over a riven for a month and sell it for the same amount I bought it for. And inflation is controlled and held at roughly 0% to keep whale cash from weimaring the F2P players. Even Stones of Jordan weren't as stable of a currency and that was before P2W. I bought arcane helmets as a form of 'gold' to bury out back in case DE came down with a case of EA but it never happened. They're worth the same as they were a year ago.

The way they hold inflation down by varying the prices of the sinks keeps the F2P and P2W communities independent which is pretty neat. The whales can buy everything directly from DE except rivens but are forced to take plat in Prime Access anyway (which they complain about thinking there's no reason for it) to keep the system from running dry despite the sinks. And with a stable currency, whale money doesn't cause rivens to hyperinflate although every shitter will tell you the one in a million riven for the best weapon in the game really shouldn't cost more than a potato.

F2P players don't influence that other than by being an attractive community others might want to be a part of. Think of a bar doing a "ladies get in free" promotion. DE sets the drop rates and market prices so is in total control of the item economy. It's not like we're actually crafting digital items as contract workers, that's all just an illusion.

Anything you do that adds or removes platinum to/from the economy is going to benefit DE, be it buying platinum with cash or buying a warframe slot.

Spending plat on slots/potatoes/etc increases demand for and therefore value of platinum, value gained by the people who buy the platinum from DE.

Even free players are fully supporting DE, unless they somehow play without ever trading for platinum and buying slots.
