While I do avoid downloading stuff from IGG if I can help it, they have lots of small indie games there that you can't find anywhere else, as they not only mirror scene releases like every other site, but also upload their own stuff. While IGG is not exactly a cracking scene group, they do crack games that have only basic Steam drm.
They also have updated versions of games that do have scene releases, but the scene versions are outdated af.

I got a VN from IGG and noticed something was off when I alt-tabbed once, the main folder had 2 executables, but the second one would only appear when starting the game and disappear when closing it.
I also saw a big difference in resource usage in task manager.
So what I did was copy the "duplicate" exe, which was the actual game file and deleted the first one, which was the miner and had nothing to do with the game.
It was pretty easy to solve, but they may have made their stuff more potent.
I'd be wary of downloading form them.
