The gameplay is so fucking fun, satisfying effects and striking, good challenge, heaps of enemies, very fun powerups and fun and varied special moves with amazing animations
The fact that you can move in directions besides just right and left; a skilled player will end up looking like they're dancing between enemies to strike them which really just screams amazing in terms of game design vision
Its all gameplay with no padding, bullshit or anything gay whatsoever (hello pointless platforming, absurd level design or fucking door-opening/checking)
The music is still fantastic like the Genesis version, though some prefer the genesis version; I like both personally.
The fact that its able to be played fucking co-op with up to 2 more people is fucking great as well
