I'm not kidding. Aquaria was an amazing exploration game with incredible art, inspiring music, and fun movement, and I hold it as one of my favorite games of all time because of how rewarding it feels to explore every inch of it. Dust was a game that looked like fun at first but then you realize that the mechanics are puddle-shallow, the art is DeviantArt garbage, and the story squnders what little potential it had for the sake of the second-shittiest villain I've seen in gaming and incredibly annoying voice acted characters.
Avgn is just a bunch of inside jokes lumped together in the kind of platformer that ten thousand freeware games have done better. Maybe Jamestown gets better later but it just seemed like a standard shmup to me. Haven't played the other two, judging by first appearances and your other picks, I would not put much stock in them.
