Maybe. If its really cheap, like a few dollars then probably go for it. You could also just pirate it. Its a real mixed bag, very rushed (the ending literally just comes from nowhere), lots of shitty token characters, only one hub (although it is really good), bias for stealth yet again, ridiculous plot about augmented people being segregated and treated like second class citizens. However, its also got a lot of good in there too, more weapon variety, customization, bonus augments, better level design, qt waifu in the agency you work for. Shame it was rushed to fuck and had a stupid "muh racism" plot, could have been pretty good otherwise.

It's not pozzed, but in the sense that the subject matter is handled properly instead of being a hamfisted allegory to racism. Augmented people are judged by others, but theirs is one of many view points, and the discussion is more centered around if augmenting people is playing god. It also drifts into Ship of Theseus territory, where people wonder if replacing pieces of yourself with machinery makes you lose some of your humanity.

They're like Deus Ex for dummies. I can say having finished HR it's not bad but it's no where as open ended as DX it's even inferior to IW in some parts, namely its physics and environment interaction. It also has a Mass Effect 3-esque "pick your end cutscene" button.
Both games also have retarded enemy takedown cutscenes when doing melee attacks, which are fucking stupid considering the context in how they play out. Even dumber is that the games reward you for "expediency" even though they take more time to perform in place of just sniping enemies from across a room.

Sorry, but it's really not worth any time or money. I was really optimistic, and I loved Human Revolution, I even bought that stupid Deus Ex GO game for the hype, but MD just pales in comparison. The short of it is that Square Enix was and is still really getting off on "episodic releases" (see Hitman, the FFVII remake, etc.), and they wanted to release the "base game", then sell DLC story missions over time. I've never played any of the DLC missions, but as a result of their decision, the base game just isn't complete. It is ridiculously half-assed, and almost every frame of footage in the early trailers are of cut story content that got rewritten to never exist.

What hamfisted nonsense. If you're a nigger, it's not really your fault that you're a nigger. You were just born a nigger, you lost the genetic lottery. Tough shit. On the other hand, most 'augs' chose to become augmented, while Jensen is an outlier because he was met with extreme circumstances. As a result, the analogy falls flat on its face. Aside from that, the whole "aug incident" only happened because some privatized corporation, that put its own interests before that of the general public, used its influence to force a large majority of the population to receive an implant that made them susceptible to the whims of a single person's control in the first place. The point being, if you're a citizen in this world and you're smarter than a fucking goldfish, then you should be able to come to the conclusion that A) most of the 'augs' acted against their will and B) the whole thing was orchestrated by very powerful people who wanted more control than they were prepared to manage. This makes the issue one of corporate malpractice more than anything else.
The game's theme is a weak attempt at addressing the supposed "sudden resurgence" of racism in contemporary Western society, but the analogy is so fucking thin that you could spread a thimble of mustard on five loaves of bread and it'd be thicker.

Went on a marathon of Deus Ex in the last week, currently playing Human Revolution after the first two.
Have to say, i do really like it even if it does lack the freedom of movement you had in the first one and in most cases it lacks the subtly of Deus Ex (it does have some nice touches, like the displacement of Nation State for the creation of a "Corporation nation" and things like that thrown around in email/ebooks) and it has to slap you in the face with its commentary.
I would say that maybe without the name Deus Ex it would have been received better, even if Invisible War ( a thing i found interesting is how many more female characters were in this if you consider that in the first one,of memorable, there was only Anna Navarre and DuClare) wasn't that great. I'll probably try Mankind Divided, even if,for what i read, the characters are even less subtle and 2 dimensional and i fear my GPU will not be able to handle it.
