Beyond that, I personally have no real hard and fast rules. I'll throw money at a dev until they act like a faggot. PUBG is a perfect example of this. Spent $30 on the game in early access, dev fails to update game, dev shits on his own customers, makes strange arbitrary rules like "no stream sniping" or whatever and so I not only refuse to give them any money ever again, but I also stop playing as request steam remove the title from my library.
This is my attitude though. It's entertainment, not important shit at the end of the day, so when a dev acts like a faggot or a fuck wad or a kike, I'll quit playing, refuse to support them in the future and even go so far as to have the game deleted from my steam account (I don't even want to allow them to manipulate stats/metrics for their shareholders and what not).
I get that gamers seem to fail at having any kind of principles, so I don't expect much from the community, I just wish they'd stand firm on a few of the worst things, like at least boycotting a really awful company or something.
