You have to use Nintendo's phone app. You can see a summary of your last 50 battles. If you select the suspect player involved, there's a report button, where you can select the offense and type in detail what happened.

I've only ever seen one and they were just using a Salmon Run weapon in multiplayer.
They still have to actually play the game as far as I can tell, and only really have access to Gear in the game that isn't normally supposed to be selectable.

You're deliberately not mentioning the nearly a decade of Valve chipping away at the community accelerating significantly in the past couple years with the matchmaking system, preceded by the quickplay system which when added they essentially banned servers that weren't quickplay Kosher from participating in game update events. to where now you literally CANNOT participate in halloween or any of the new Achievement Unlocks(Contracts) without playing on an official Valve Matchmaking server with an authenticated connection token to steam (meaning yes even if you managed to slog through getting on a Valve server that isn't already over, if your connection going through the server can't reach Valves OTHER server you can't participate in game events AND you'll get kicked.)

It's actually much simpler to cheat on a console then on a PC.
PC has too watch out for all sorts of anti-cheat and other spying and mostly mallicous software that runs in the background of your modern video gay.
While a console mostly relies on it BEING a console to deflect cheats.
So, once a console has 1 small slip up that allows it to get homebrew, the entire system becomes open to any cheater that decides to create something for it.

To be fair to Nintendo, the biggest exploit on current model Switches is because of the Tegra chip's RCM mode, which can be activated using a fucking paperclip. So blame Nvidia for that. Not like there aren't things to exploit but even the hacking scene is impressed with how not shit the Swtich is.

Pretty much this. If you think tf2 community servers were bad then you just came in too late.
Once upon a time they were chill places to play the game however you wanted and to explore community made maps or partake in events. Hell most people found themselves attached to a server which became like their home where all the regulars would meet up to play and shoot the shit as a group of friends. The best ones were the ones that had a good balance of custom and normal maps with occasional events, an active map pool, and cool admins.
Personally I liked FUG's hovel of tomfoolery. All sorts of cool maps, rtd to spice things up, and we had a Hank Hill impersonator who eventually became a mod or something. Even remember someone making a banner when MvM came out with some regular's icons over the faces calling it the 'Humble heroes of Mannworks'. Shame its dead now, like all the actually playable custom map servers.
Gotta be 'friendly' ones where you can't play. And even then those maps don't have objectives like they should.
