80s had a lot more variety in terms of music than the 60s. the 60s was all Beatles and Bob Dylan wannabes, the 80s sounds more diverse because for some reason that decade produced a million one-hit-wonders from people of wildly different backgrounds. You got anywhere from full on new wave to traditional punk rock to 80s hip hop to just weird songs you wouldn't get anywhere else

From an objective standpoint I would argue economic vehicles of the current era are the best. As time goes on safety regulations only get safer and safer. What governing body is going to REMOVE safety regulations? You could argue that it's purpose is to get the driver and passengers from point A to point B, but I argue that the purpose is to get the driver and passengers from point A to point B SAFELY. Otherwise why spend resources making it so the car starts more than one time. So if a car is safer it should be better.

Also while you think I am more likely to crash due to a lack of safety features this isn't quite true, most accidents are are a result of drivers not paying adequate attention while driving (which no amount of safety features will prevent). Cars which are always on edge or have no/little safety features force the driver to pay attention and as a result the level of situational awareness is far greater, cars which have large amounts of safety features isolate and lul the driver into a false sense of security and as a result they are always not properly focused on piloting the 1.5 ton hunk of steel they are strapped into. An example of this is seatbelts, when they became mandatory the rate of driver and passenger fatalities dropped as expected but the rate of pedestrians killed by cars rose because people were no longer paying as much attention.
