It's been more then 5 years, (really it's been 7 since the first DmC trailer was shown in 2011) and they are still banking on this lie to discredit any and all criticism.
The only reason this "Hair is the wrong color" thing ever started is because at the time it was a legitimate question. You have a character who has been wearing Red and has had white Hair for 10 years, and then a trailer is shown where he is wearing mostly Black and he has Black hair. Of course people are going to ask why he doesn't have White hair anymore. Red and White is Dante's signature look and they changed it with no explanation.
Them defending the Reboot wouldn't be so bad if they at least pretended to know what they were talking about, but NOPE. They never bring up that we didn't like the dialog, or the characters personalities, or the fact that the gameplay is a massive downgrade compared to what came before, or the fact that the story completely falls apart when held under scrutiny. They definitely won't bring up the fact that we were demonized, for DARING not to instantly praise a reboot that nobody wanted. They don't even try and use the defense that the gameplay is streamlined and easier to get into for less experienced people. None of that matters. all that matters is that the Hair is an easy way to ignore all that.
It's the only thing they have to fallback on, because if they were to seriously bring up fan criticism it would be far too obvious that every single thing the fans criticized was legitimate, and it was completely reasonable for DMC fans not to have liked a game that wasn't made for them.

I'm playing star trek online and I stumbled into a pvp zone. Now I figure I should be good, I'm using the best equipment in the game. Like the very best, my kit abilities are so powerful I don't even have to shoot at enemies anymore, I just blast them with science magic wizard shit and whole groups die at once.
But not this one guy.
First of all he's invisible nearly all the time, he only appears once in a bluemoon. He beams down 4 security escorts, which isn't possible. You only beam down 2 now, yet he still beams down 4, and they're throwing grenades! They don't even do that shit! And then he's immune to all damage. Nothing hurts him. Nothing. As in it literally flashes the words "immune" everytime he would otherwise be taking damage. And when he fires he one shots me, every time.
I've been googling for a half hour, I can't find anything that would give someone that kind of power. It almost makes me wonder if I was fighting a dev or something, I dunno.
I did manage to kill him and his friend a few times, but I had help. It was two of us vs three of them, and they all had the same abilities.

As I recall, I found it interesting because of how various game industry figures were portrayed as cooperative with government interference but reluctant to engage in outright propaganda for fear of a consumer revolt (followed promptly by a shareholder revolt).
Also interesting, in my opinion, is the way the information presented provides a neat little case for the involvement of bigger political forces in what was (in 2014 at least) a gamer's only issue. I remember thinking it was really strange that so much of the media (that is the mainstream media) immediately jumped in to defend game journos. When you start to consider the connection to common core, Microsoft, and the broader goals of the Obama administration's domestic policy it starts to make more sense. At least I think it does. The connections between the, then growing, common core materials industry and the clique of anti-gamer journos are pretty clear.
I don't really know anything about seattle4truth (he seems loony) but there's some material in the video worth considering if you're willing to look past the absolutely cringey presentation and extreme duration.
I don't know about plugging stuff into wikis but if I have some time maybe I'll rewatch it in the entirety and take notes.

You're probably better off putting together a working project/decent portfolio and applying to every game company you want.
I used to work at a small game company as an artist and had to hire another artist. We don't give a shit what school you went to. Nobody does. Your work is all that matters. We chose 5 of the best applicants out of over a 100, and gave them a small test. Then interviewed 2 of those best. The person who got the job was the one who gave the best impression about wanting to work at our company.
That's how we hired an artist. It's different for hiring a programmer, but quite similar.

It can be worth it if you have some great teachers, but there's no guarantee of that either. Both myself and the lead programmer of the company I worked at went to universities but most of what we learned, and what got us our jobs was self taught.

I mostly been a lurker throughout GG. Heard about what was going on via GameFAQS of all places, started digging around, then came here when shit went down on halfchan. During the revolt bullshit I was actually somewhat confused and it wasn't clear to me at the time what was going on and which board was the honeypot and which wasn't, so I had just ended up browsing both boards. After they both sank I was under the impression that shit was done for and had fucked off to do other things for a while. It wasn't until last year with the shit with CNN threatening to dox that one guy who made that gif that I discovered that the /v/ generals were still alive and kicking. I've stuck around since.
