It's been over a year since the barrier was erected and there have been quite a few new games in that time, I understand SRW V is worth it to at least one anon. Also critical is game patches pushing it to need 3.61+ which force you to remain on older versions of a game in some instances. Sadly I expect multiplayer games to address this again, but it'll at least give access to a few features.

User reviews on the japan amazon are mixed (the second Shin got a better reception in comparison of the first) as people, who didnt like them, complained it wasnt really scary, the lack of voice actors (similar to the PSP/DS titles, so beware if you prefer voiced speeches to understand nippon), or the Shin serie taking a gruesome turn due of the higher CERO rating (Z which allows guro) compared to the original trilogy.

It, and it's predecessor, actually wound up on my radar because a while back I'd gotten curious as to what the devs of it (Matrix Software, who had made some prior games I knew about) were even doing at the time, if they weren't still just Square's mobile port bitches. Was nice to see them get out of that hole, but at the same time I was left to assume subsequent games would be never-evers out here (until OLZ got picked up).
Still, as far as any attention being being attention, and controversy being free marketing, that works when a game is still seeing a release in a given language in some format (hopefully a region free one). What I've been wondering about, and hoping doesn't happen, is that constant "Refused Classification" type ratings become the way to push "disobedient" (as far as what they choose to pick up and how they handle it) western publishers into line, and render such titles heavily butchered or outright never-evers. I respect that IFI has stated that any game that would require censorship to release, they wouldn't handle, and how they and Pqube seem willing to write off certain countries like Australia at times, rather than dumb things down to secure a broader western market, but I'd think there's probably a limit to that, where enough western countries say "no" that it might leave them to question why they're even considering bringing particular titles over in the first place. Of course, on the other hand there's plenty of games in the past that have managed to get NA releases but no PAL ones for whatever reason, and not even necessarily due to content-related ones, so I suppose if America allows games like OLZ to still slide by as M-rated (and other games places have refused, like MeiQ, as only T-rated), it's more a matter of balancing the marketing and production to remain profitable even if certain countries have told them to fuck off. Or doing Asia/Pacific releases with proper English scripts as a language option at least.

The camera and the control over your character are both terrible, and particularly bad for navigating narrow or awkward terrain, especially since falling too far can kill you. The camera just makes your life unpleasant in tight places, and sometimes ends up with an object between you and it (quite often in places where you'd wonder how the hell they didn't catch this as an issue, like on sniping points). I'd actually say it's probably the worst camera I've had to deal with, this includes games like Castlevania 64, and makes adapting to the awkward controls even more difficult than it needed to be. I feel like the touchscreen and back touchpads were only added because Sony decided they needed to ape certain features from the 3/DS without outright releasing a Sony3DS to capture that market.
Then they publicized it by releasing a few dozen games that used the touchscreen/pads in varying degrees of success. Throwing shit at a wall and seeing what stuck, like they had just released the first generation DS.

Well they are already existing folders within ux0. (you might not see half of them if you don't have show hidden files on)
The uploaders gave them the same name so when you drop it in there it will you to merge it with the existing folders automatically putting everything in the right maps for you.

Though, I suspect some are either undub workarounds (patching a ripped English script into the Japanese game file, rather than patching the JP audio into a western game file) or were made due to firmware requirements (in that some games had lower Japanese requirements than western; I suppose that’s less of an issue than it used to be though). Maybe someone else can shed better light on it.

Caligula could have been so good mechanically if they cut back on all the mechanics it has. Like, they should have just made it turn based in the style of Radiant Historia, which it almost is, drop the in battle timeline shit, make it so there are less enemies on the overworld and have them call in reinforcements from the shadows when the battle starts.
Most of the time, you'll run into an enemy and there will usually be another enemy next to them. That second enemy doesn't disappear when the battle starts, sometimes it won't realize there's a battle happening so it won't join in, it just walks around while the fight is happening. Then you finish the fight your in, go through the victory screens then get thrown into another fight due to the other enemy. It's weird as hell and tells me the game needed way more time in dev. Hopefully the PS4 remake fixes everything because this could very good game with a good story.

It seems like the Vita is treated as a public beta test for a lot of games that are later claimed "remastered" or rereleased on the PS4 and, more recently, the shitstain that is the Switch soon afterwards.

There probably were newly done areas seeing as the Vita release and the PS4 release were a year apart and had slightly different content. The PS4 release has 15 additional digimon
As the Vita gets older and older it's even more obvious on the multi-platform releases, particularly when going from Vita to PS4, even though a lot of that is going from a handheld to a home console that the Vita is only still getting games out of obligation to the dedicated fanbase.

Eiyuu Densetsu Evolution were poor remakes that were present on the Vita tbh. Spoiley openings with worse animation, and a terrible soundtrack. Zero was full of bugs at release (until patched a month later).
FFX was alright but the soundtrack was a miss or hit (didnt like how they changed the Wandering Flame track)

I regret playing that one translated maidump of mask of truth. I was 60-70h in but the crashes became so frequent I started to get on edge. Especially considering that some of those battles can take almost an hour if not more.
Because it is translated on a chinese release I can't even play my savefile on a clean EU or US install. Mistakes have been made.
Does anyone still have his completed mask of deception save? Maybe I'd be more motivated if I could start with the bonuses.
