So I only compelted KH 1, 2, and CoM for GBA. I'm currently marathoning the entire KH franchise in chronological order, and just beat Chi/Unchained.

The PPSSPP emulator is a pain in the ass to deal with and the lag is annoying, should I just emulate the KH:BBS remake from 1.5 or keep trying to play the original?

Hopefully you guys can give me your two cents.

Why? CoM is the only one I can possibly see having any reason to play the original instead of the remake, because they have different gameplay due to one being 2D and the other 3D, but Re:CoM isn't even really a Final Mix. BBS FM has more content, more bosses, and better graphics. Once you get to KH1 and KH2, you should play their Final Mixes too. The extra content makes replaying them more worthwhile compared to replaying the originals.

1.5 didn't have the BBS remake, it was 2.5 that had it. 1.5 was KH1FM, Re:CoM, and a "movie" of voiced 3D remakes of the cutscenes from Days. Also don't forget about 0.2, it takes place between BBS and KH1. It's on 2.8. these fucking numbers, god damn it Nomura, at least 358/2 made sense in context.
