Pretty sure you're thinking of Bakuon. Bokurano is a super dark series about a bunch of middle schoolers signing up to test out some game, only for the game to actually be real. The death toll by episode four is in the tens of thousands, and the robot they're controlling to defend earth kills the pilot every time. They're all gonna die. I suppose a moral is "play stupid games, win stupid prizes," but still. It's like every character has some warped past and a few honestly deserve death. Thus far I only really feel sorry for the soccer kid (who had no idea what he had gotten into) and the imouto, whose brother hates her guts and is physically violent with her. At least "that kid" already bit the dust; he was a fucking edgelord.

I wake up around 3:30AM or so, but then I'm getting ready for the day starting around 5AM. Boring for me too around this time.

I feel ya, woke up at 2AM today and had to stare at the ceiling for 4 hours (since the 4AM threads are 6AM threads where I'm at) since /a/ is as good as dead too at that time.
