I initially liked the EU monochromatic design better but the NA one grew on me and now i prefer it. The NA box is also embossed alternatively the EU steelbook is embossed instead. Amalthus is clearly a nihilist, much like Jin, but Amalthus clearly believes he is in the right when he does some pretty shitty things, while Jin literally straight up admits that the stuff he is doing is fucked up and Lora would hate him for it. All others have some reasons, but he destroyed his world to create this one, is apparently sad about the previous world but lets this one go to shit and does nothing for no reason but apathy. Apathy is death, and he is a faggot. Amalthus wouldn't have done anything bad much later on, were he ever to intervene at any point, talk, or just not give him the Aegises. Even if he doesn't want to speak to him, Malos likely wouldn't have done anything bad were he to talk to him either, or if he at least programmed Aegis so they're good by default and made them influence drivers. That'd mean the drivers would always be good guys in the end.

Like, the "meh meh meh" makes sense, as Tora basically says that all the time. But Tora says it like really fast like "mehmehmeh" as if it was one word.

Poppi QT delivers the line whenever you put I think art in Tora's pouch, which is one of her favorite classes of items. However, instead of saying the "mehmehmeh" like Tora, her "mehmehmeh" is said with the "I'm literally cumming right now" inflection, followed by the "Poppi's heart full". So instead of sounding like she is copying the mannerisms of her creator, she just sounds like she is getting fucked by a painting.

I don't think its autism, I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that Poppi isn't technically born until early in the game, and therefore her social skills are pretty non-existent.

I also have the theory that the Architect is such a fuck up in the same way that Zanza was an evil bastard- neither of them are a whole person, and their brain, being split between right and left across dimensions, makes it so that Zanza (who is effectively Klaus's "left brain") possesses only left brain characteristics, namely he is logical, analytical, and "specific". This is backed up by the fact that his world was created more less all at once, and his plan for his return was a very elaborate series of events over several hundred years that would culminate in the death of his vessel and the rebirth of his body. However, as he effectively has no "right brain", he lacks expression and "emotional intelligence" (e.g. any sort of empathy). Zanza's world was designed with logic in mind- everything had a purpose, which was to come back to him.

On the other hand, the Architect only possessed his "right brain", which would be high in emotional intelligence, but not necessarily abundant in logic. The Architect's world was created as the result of an evolution hundreds or thousands of species into humanity- life wasn't created by the Architect for a specific purpose other than as a form of assuaging the Architect's guilt for destroying humanity the first time. He also appears to be extremely empathetic compared to Zanza, referring to both humans and blades alike as his "children", while Zanza pretty much saw them only as "bacteria". It also makes more sense that the Architect is so wrapped up in his emotional melancholy that he literally causes almost every conflict in the game because he couldn't think rationally about a situation, and instead he is so wrapped up in his emotional guilt that he almost destroys the world, albeit through inaction, a second time.

I think Rex can be guaranteed two full rounds under certain conditions so she'd be good then, but the said mode always hurts my bonus percentage. The crit chance is admittedly pretty good, but the Spotlight is actually why I stopped using her. That, and Ursula is also an Ice healer. Dahlia cannot compete, except for design. For Kora, 100 second longer potions. The rest she has is not too hot, but this is very useful. Even if Nia is too lazy to pick them up initially, she might later, or you will. Floren has stronger heals from all sources at gold affinity link and also fully heals everyone if he falls. Since Nia will fall pretty much only if the boss does some crazy aoe as she isn't aggroing anyone, that means the other characters might be hurt too, so in that case Floren keeps them alive to get Nia back up. I forgot to mention Ursula, but in her case it should be obvious why she rocks. The barrier, the heal on switch, all's perfect. Even having only 1 aux core that I put fast blade switch 5 on does nothing to hurt her usability. To compensate, her affinity tree is a torture.

On King Ken the Squid, I got 500% bonus with only 7 elements because the AI was acting too retarded to switch while using S+ Dagas on Rex every turn and S-S3 fags on Nia/dodgetank. Meanwhile, with 8 elements and at a lower health of the squid, Pneuma barely got to 400%. Either +60% blade combo of Dagas really works greater in chain attacks than expected, or she's bad for that by taking away a few turns of crushing the elements by wrecking them too hard. I wonder what the equation for blade combo damage is in the first place and how such a percentage affects it.

By the way, I unequipped the break art on Brighid myself. It's fine on Nia who has a silver or golden Beta Scope and for some reason Nia's the only teammate who will always switch to do a blade combo even if she won't break. Maybe because of the accessory she cares less or something. Morag wasn't absolutely stupid but too focused on the main blade anyway, and Zeke never ever switched from the ether cannons. If he had one, he just got on Azami, Herald or Sheba, he never left unless a break happened. Once the driver combo was done, he always went back to whatever his cannon-wearing waifu was on his first opportunity. If you are talking about story and how there are a billion fucking things to do to get the story to really progress, then yeah its pretty slow. I will say that I typically try to avoid fast travel in most games, but based on the amount of "walk over to this area halfway across the map and then back again", I gave up on that around hour 20.

The intro is really, really, REALLY fucking slow. Not the 'push start to get to do stuff' intro, but I mean the point the game gives you all the toys to play with in combat. You don't get to do the whole "Press + to wreck shit" thing until…. what? Chapter 3? 4? And not even at the start. For the start of the gamer the combat was slow as treacle for me, it's only now when I've hit chapter 4 (well, five now) that I'm starting to feel the combat's hit the stride. It's only against the boss at the end of chapter 4 you start getting launched often. That is the sort of shit you should be introduced into the teens, if not right after the start of the game.

The story is slow as mollasses too, it sometimes feels like I'm not making progress. Though I'm a fucker for sidequests and stuff, so I'm actually not really progressing for 'reasonable' reasons. The 'problem' with this is I'm at the very start of chapter 5 now, and I'm nearly level 50. All the monsters I'm running into seem to be assuming I'm around level 40. It creates this bizzarre feeling where sidequesting sucks out progress yet it also sucks out satisfaction of the main quest. Obviously I need to simply stop fucking around and push on with the story until I hit a beefgate, and I accept this as a design as I'd rather be 'rewarded' for doing shit before being railroaded and/or punished. This is so fucking true. I'm only just behind you, both in terms of story progression and overleveling. The only boss that has given me even a sliver of challenge was the last Zeke battle, before heading to the Praetorium. His rage mode was pretty tough.

Everything about your assessment of the combat is largely correct, but I don't think it's 'slow' in terms of opening up. The game allows you do launches, knockbacks, blade combos, etc etc, from the moment you get into the game (albeit there's no tutorial.) The problem lies more in the fact that you simply don't have blades capable of it. I was lucky on that regard, the few rares I had popped early had great synergy. I've been slamming the shit out of everything since around chapter 3. I think the only mechanic you outright don't have access to until you unlock it is the + button shit.

According to Lora's dad/ stepdad/ whatever the fuck, he stole Jin's core crystal from a castle on a heist he apparently had been planning for weeks. Which is why at early game most people seem to have more or less the same blades. So I switched to English dub to see what all my blades sound like. They all sound like a 30 year old woman or a 30 year old woman doing a wacky voice. It's atrocious.

How to I do Electra's quest btw? I have electric mastery at 3, but Mastery of Thunder is languishing at level 1. I get you need to talk to p[eople to level it up, but it never says who. I can't find anyone with a level 1 req-the lowest I can find is in Torigoth with a level 2 req.

Oh I clocked this a while ago. Funny bit is, I've been doing merc missions to boost the commons for the ideas while I salvage; and while I've been salvaging the odd enemy gets shat out and I seem to be at that sweet spot where I can bash the odd rare core out of them for their efforts. This is why I'm wondering about a boss monster to bully for rare cores.

Also, I just got Percival on driver 5. God help us all, the chuunyi is going to be insane.

Equip her, turn on her quest and travel around the main cities. Her quest is easy, and quite adorable.

Wait until you have to unlock her last pouch-related node. You'll need Honey au lait, which I think only becomes availeable after completing the hidden 12 brothersisterpon quest.

I'm currently doing Ursula's quest. Right after finishing Dagas quest. Add to that the aforementioned requirement for Electra, and you can imagine how salty I am right now

I'll be honest, the whole journey to Fonsa Myma is the one point of the game I will say is badly designed. No indication where to really go, random high levels scattered around where you would think you'd have to go, and way to much water in between.

I get walking around and talking but… is there a limit to how many people? I know with Poppi you level up Nopon knowledge by talking to people, but there doesn't seem to be anything like that for Electra, which makes me think it's a specific person?

I honestly think its just triggered by entering Gormott at a certain time. Elektra's quest was the very first blade quest I did (she was the second blade I got), and I got it sort of by accident.

I should actually restate that Elektra was the very first blade quest I started… didn't have enough electric blades to finish it for like 30 hours.

All I know is that its isn't tied to the brothersisterpon quest, as I am at hour 200 and still have yet to finish it
