While checking my email this morning I saw this and immediately though scam, I even sent a pretty rude reply to them….

How ever, upon further investigation, it turns out this might be legit

This shit is typical in class actions, what did you expect? That's not even intended for anyone that actually hacked it. Anyone who bought a fat ps3 and hears about this lawsuit now should be able to take advantage of it

Its likely hundreds of thousands if not possibly millions of people affected by it so yeah, Sony won't like this

IMPORTANT

In >Canada, at least, class actions are opt out, which means you are included in the settled class by default. This means you cannot litigate for personal damages if you do not opt out. I don't know if this works in the US as well, but the important thing to know is that class actions can impact your legal rights later
