Is the other thread passed its post limit?

So, a question I meant to ask in the previous thread. Even though the 8/v/ clan is full, why not just increase the clan to the next tier and start accepting new members again? I know it increases the cost of research and such, but that should be balanced out so long as the clan isn't full of freeloading faggots.

Yeah, I was looking at how clans work the other day and the scaling is equal for all clan sizes as long as the same proportion of people in the clan contribute. The thing is that with more people it's harder to organize and motivate them and you get a lot more freeloaders as well, so higher tier clans will inevitably progress slower than a tiny clan of 10 dedicated people.

Think of it like this: getting 10 motivated players is easy. Getting 1000 motivated players together is much, much harder.

Generally either 1 or 4. Pyrana's been filling my need for both because I like seeing it just melt shit with tons of pellet hits. The damage and ammo efficiency just beats anything else I have at the moment (pretty much dex furis, gammacor, and kraken). I have nowhere near enough cryotic to build the kraken into the kulstar, and the gammacor just doesn't have the firepower I want.

they need to fix the fact that reactant usually follows around a random "chosen" player, or whoever is closest to extraction causing some people to get 0 until they walk into the room other people were playing in and they see like 50 on the ground. this should be fixed.

they also need to make it so if you dont "crack" the reactant unless you get 10 relics, if you dont get 10, it should stayl in your inventory. its stupid to penalize people for not getting 10

its especially stupid that the only way to not lose a relic when youre playing a survival is for everyone to agree and decide to leave by selecting "no relic".

He's done other dakis in the past, his base price for detailed commissions is only $60 but he does say his pricing increases with size and detail. You'd probably be looking at well over a hundred for something you could print out onto a 5 foot pillow.

Ducats are easier to come by as you are guaranteed them from running relics. It's probably more efficient to just buy the mods. Also I wouldn't buy prisma angstrum but I guess if you want the mastery or really love explosives go for it.

High Voltage and Shell Shock are both on table C for sabotage caches at 4.51%. So you have to get all three caches to get your ~2/20 shot at them. On the other hand there is no time limit, the missions aren't going away.

Still probably a better idea to farm some prime junk and buy them. Try Axi N5/V7, those have no Forma so you always get ducats and you can get them from the plains.

But zenurik still has energy regen, you dash with your operator, touch the bubble that it creates (no need to stand in it, just touch) and get energy regen for a limited time. Zenurik also has another power that gives you a permanent discount arcane energize, as wnergy orbs give you extra energy.

The only good thing is that they ditched the need to wait for operator powers to charge before using them. Now you can pop your operator and get said benefits right from the start.

It's pretty much the same, imo. You have to work a bit for it throughout the mission but using it from the start is a big plus for me so it balances out.

I'm almost certain Keith doesn't work as a regular DE employee, he's called in from time to time to deliver comissions.

In this year's Tennocon they whowed a bunch of his concepts, most of which is being used for Plains of Eidolon. They also showed some concepts of his for a very early in concept mixed spaceship defense mission. Suposedly you'll defend the inside of your ship as usual from waves of enemies, but you'll also be able to hop into archwing mode to exit the ship and take down space enemies on the fly. Concept had me interested, hope it's not too much of a clusterfuck. Also expect something so early like this to be delivered post 2018. Check 13:10 for ship designs.

honestly, not really. what you've got is a pretty solid baseline build. you're either knocking shit down, stripping it's armor, or making it fight it's friends with every shot, on top of the guaranteed natural impact proc. about the only thing that could be added is shotgun mutation if you don't want to run carrier for whatever reason.

So General question; I didn't play for a few months, and I'm about to go to Plains of Eidolon for the first time. Is there like any special shit I need to know/prepare for? I'm asking because I was watching some youtube thing on some of the new weapons released since I last played and to help me decide which ones I would be interested in trying out first (corinth and the glass shotgun), and the guy was saying something about 'well you know some people say this isn't good for plains because of damage falloff, but I think…' or something along those lines. Do you need to bring especially long ranged shit for plains? Like are shotguns and melee and mid/short range automatic spray n pray guns not going to cut it? Like you need to bring some of those high damage singleshot semiautomatic rifles or pistols?

Same with frames. Do you need to bring particular types of frames? I have my favorites and all, but that's mostly 'by mission type'. Do I need to bring a balls to the wall energy chugging killframe? A very survivable one with some kind of reliable self heal function? etc etc…

Frames don't matter all that much in the plains other than id say limbo since he can invalidate every mission there but 1 type by just using his abilities, nova can just make things go really really easy, and survivable frames are always an excellent choice. Once you start doing the level 50+ bounty id start bringing a strong setup though since things like napalms can make you fail the defense mission if they launch one orb at the console.

adding to what this anon >>14070173 says, the only real threats there come in the form of Bolkor/Ogma air coverage and napalms/bombards sniping you from stupidly far distances behind shitton of visual cover that makes it impossible for you to pinpoint them without being airborne in some way.

having said that, i've successfully run the highest level bounties with a variety of frames, including nova, gara, nyx, nezha, frost, titania, trinity and oberon. i've seen people do it with inaros and saryn and rhino and other mainstays as well, including excal, but i don't tend to play those frames all that often. my main go-to frames are nyx, titania and gara right now, and with assimilate nyx, titania built for her 4 with a solid status primary, and gara built for duration with some power and eff, i've had no problem clearing any of the bounties with no deaths.

in general, bringing a weapon that can strip armor via corrosive is a good idea, since everything on the plains is grineer, and killing the Bolkor/Ogma gunships is stupid hard without removing their armor first. my typical setup is status akstilleto prime with a 4-forma opticor and then whatever melee fits my mood (usually nikana p). if a Bolkor jumps in and starts laying down fire, i'll swap to my aks, strip it's armor, then 1-2 shots from the opticor takes it down. opticor is also solid in general for dealing with the grineer thanks to the high puncture. you can mod it radiation too for extra dmg vs. the heavies. but really any comfy high damage weapon will do, just try and make sure it's good to at least 40m out or so in order to help deal with aerial threats.

What's Assimilate Nyx? My NyxP (probably the first prime frame I ever got when I started playing) is rarely used, I only use her for annoying challenge modes on Sortie 3s, because the playstyle is kind of super boring but extremely effective where I got min str, max range, hit 3 and then walk up to dudes and V.Hek them in the face, and every couple or so I do that to, the syndicate proc hits and AoEs a few more and heals me to boot. I feel like Nyx is my 'cheapest' and least fun to play but probably most effective frames who I always choose when the mission seems too tough to bring one of my usual preferred flashy and fun killframes.

Eh, I tried it out, it's OK I guess. It wasn't nearly as remarkable as I had hoped. I just dropped corrosive damage for hunter munitions and kept sinister reach because I just love the QoL from the range. I do see the slash procs going off, but like when I went to do a PoE 40-50 bounty mission with it it was just pretty underwhelming. I guess the enemies weren't tough enough for the for the slash procs to be noticeably useful (most stuff died before I stopped shooting, nothing survived nearly a full magazine but on the other hand, some were strong enough to require 50-80% of reload pool rather than melting in a tap like lower level enemies, or grineer in general against my old corrosive amprex which WAS noticable) I mean I got 70% damage for the team I was on, but it was still pretty underwhelming.

They're idiots and buy into meta meme shit. When you have enough time with the game you start to notice why weapons are broken. You could turn that into a really good weapon based around Status. The weapon itself has 30% status base and innate corrosive damage, so if you add some elemental / status% mods along side Condition Overload you could reach some really stupid numbers. Not to mention it has a unique charge attack that makes a giant trail of damage on the ground.

The Riven itself could have any number of things that would make it stronger but sadly nobody is going to realize it's a good weapon so it'll be very hard to sell.

It's one of the hidden Gem's in the game that if you put some work into, it shines really well in it's strength's.

augment for nyx's 4. instead of meditating while floating stationary and absorbing things over a wide area, Assimilate allows for movement under the effects of her 4, albeit at a reduced speed and range of absorption. this effectively makes nyx into a super-tank if you have enough eff and a large energy pool. primed flow + streamline + fleeting@50% is enough to stay invincible for a very long period of time. add in the odd super-cheap chaos for some spot CC here and there and nyx basically can't be killed as long as you're careful. too much dmg/concentrated fire at once can still drain your energy super fast, so you gotta watch out not to stand in napalm blasts or anything, but with a little practice you know what to expect and when to drop the 4 and go airborne/cast chaos while you hunt down the offending target and resume your 4.

Mate if you care about min maxing real hard do not use furis on mesa. The augment will do nothing for her regulators so it's a wasted slot on furis if you're running mesa. Pick up the Vaykor hek or marelok causes the synd proc will heal you. Also assuming you're running with a sentinel as most do, equip medi beam on it, it can provide a lot of healing over the course of the mission. And if you really need more heals, get the hema or hirudo.

I didn't know that was a thing, I wasn't playing when they did the original keyla de thaym rathuum stuff, but I did fight her in a few boss sortie 3s. I don't really know if I feel like going through the trouble of farming for that. I don't really like that stage and finding a good team is tricky and I don't know how soloable that is. Also, while nice, it doesn't seem *that* useful for what I'm talking about. I don't need very slow regen over time, I need a burst of health when I'm fighting stuff that'll 3 or 4 shot me and they've already landed a couple hits or a proc is going to kill me in the next 5 seconds if I don't do something etc…I'm using the hek on mesa currently, I have the marelock, but can't fit all the mods on it for full crit/viral because of the polarities on it.

I'm ok with not min-maxing on mesa, I mainly use her fun, I use strong survivability frames either by augment/skill (molt saryn) or rage/lifestrike/misc heal (inaros, nidus) or CC dudes (chaos Nyx, blizzard Frost) carrying a v.hek for heals if It's a nasty special condition sortie 3 or trials or deepwave endless farming.

My 'old' focus strat was just wait for chargeup, activate that energy regen thing and let the good times roll. Actually I think I might be re-visiting a bunch of old frames I rarely use and trying out alternative builds. I really gotta say; from the standpoint of someone who has been playing for 'years' on and off coming back to PoE is pretty cool. It's a 'perfect' difficulty level where everything doesn't melt instantly to a tap, and on the other hand it isn't something you need to consciously min/max/cheese your way through. You can try out fun little novelties against reasonable level enemies (in terms of both level and 'squad composition') without everything you so much as look at dying instantly, but also without having to go full meta like you would for endless deepwave.

The Day-Night cycle is kinda neat too. I remember being somewhat annoyed as I was just messing around fishing and mining for rocks when it started getting dark and it was getting harder to see the fish and unpleasant to just navigate around looking for rock clusters in general. And then I was like, well, time to switch to bounties to grind up some rep to make up for all the fancy new fishing and mining doodads and blueprints I had just bought before the 'current' run. And aside from the initial 'in the moment' annoyance, it's kinda cool.

Is there any benefit to fishing/mining in higher difficulty instance? AFAIK from what I've tried (going into bounty, fucking around before and/or after) there doesn't seem to be? I mean I haven't done this enough time to be definitive, I 'try to page the objective' in bounty pubs rather than fucking around in the scenery, but even at max bounty; from fucking around after waiting for extract countdown from some guys who brought archwings and got back there fast while I'm still standing around final objective, or realizing I forgot to take off solo mode after last mining/fishing run. It doesn't seem like you get 'proportionally' larger mining or fishing yields in terms of quantity, or fish weight multiplier or some shit in the same way that you get grokdrul and iridite multipliers from higher level bounties.

For amps? All damage is the same. something like 10k dps. only thing that changes between tiers is type of shot. dont waste standing on gilding amps unless you plan on hosting captures. since gilding only works for host.

start off with rank 1 amp

1 - 1 - 1

then upgrade to

2 - 1 - 2

then use for all teralyst hunts

3 - 1/3 - 3

homing beam or charge shot is your preference. crit brace is a must.
