Ape Escape, fun controls, open levels that let you pick which monkeys you go for, a lot of levels can be finished without even seeing half the content in them so when you finally unlock the last gadgets and go for clean up in levels you're not doing the exact same things, you're most likely walking right past that stuff for the new stuff you missed before.
Gurumin is a pretty cute platformer, like not just cute in the it's a little girl cute, every little challenge and boss encounter is just cute, nothing pushes you but it's never tiring it's always doing something new but nothing new is that one thing that now pisses you off and now you're stuck.
I ninja is a P.cool platformer, got action in it but it revolutionises it in platformers by not being shit if enemies take more then 1 hit, fuck though the 100% reward is worse then Mario Sunshine I swear to god.
I remember playing a collectathon called Vexx and that one like super tedious with like 4 variants of red coins per level but everything from the world design, day/night cycles and the sheer scale of the levels, like the first level has these giant ass floating rocks in the distance, you can actually get to them and have to climb across them with the entire level in view for a single collectable. Worth it to see if it clicks for you because it's damn good if it does
