I want Platinum to make something that's not a beat 'em up. Beat 'em ups are what they're good at, sure, but I want to see them apply the design principles and stylistic elements that they're famous for to other genres. Symphogear action game, with rhythm elements with a song meter that keeps you powered up the more you strike and evade according to the beat. At its best, this game should have no downtime from action, and be pure adrenaline rush from start to end.

Netflix has had no problems with violence and sex. Devilman as such doesn't have much to offend outside some religious themes, which Netflix doesn't care about. What I'm most worried about is whether or not the pacing will be terrible, like with every other Netflix original show.

Once a piece of media is very old and culturally important, deliberately taking elements from it to both create something that's both significantly different and a direct homage is expected. Is it any more a rip-off than Mega Man is of Astro Boy?
Speaking of Mega Man, if they're going to stick with beat-'em-ups, I think that Platinum is one of the few companies that could make Mega Man Zero Rising Revengeance. You could easily have a Platinum game about the Elf Wars, too.

I would like a turn-based strategy and action hybrid like Unholy War. You have stylish units moving around a map in turns like Advance Wars but when attacking they fight in real time. The terrain decides the arena and the type of attack decides buffs/nerfs like if you ambush a unit you start with a full super bar and the enemy with none, or if you gang up on an enemy you get to switch units a la MvC with the ones in the background slowly healing.
