Earlier this year I tried having this exact same thread with the exact same intention: find non-vidya tracks that would perfectly fit boss fights or boss rushes. It started out fine enough, but turned into metal edgefest midway through (not that there's anything wrong with metal in general, just the suggestions people kept posting reeked of underage). I wrote it off as a summer thing, so now that we're in winter I think we could get some better taste to trickle through.

So go ahead and post what you think would be a nice beat to beat a boss to. Pick a boss type, environment, fighting style (maybe it's a race or some stupid minigame instead of a fight), have fun. For example, the Tom Waits song could be used for a shell shocked veteran screaming obscenities and using DIY SHTF equipment.

Embed related would be nice if you fight your own former friend or generally speaking a boss you really, really do not even want to fight.

The relatively calm music contrasting with the brutality of the battle could be quite something.

That's weird because I've not heard it anywhere outside of youtube nor heard anybody talk about them. My friends give me weird looks when I play Glitch Mob or The Sound Defects in the car. And they have REALLY normalfaggy tastes in music. The only friend that has any decent music in his collection is the guy who listens to local rap and Rag'n'Bone Man.

Here's a theme I think would fit a phoenix boss or at the very least its first phase before resurrection. Link below is a really nice alternative, but it fails to have a noticeable ramp up since it's pretty much divided into two parts (one slow and one that ramps up way too quickly). I can see this being used in a Dark Souls boss fight.
