Ironically enough yes. I have felt that way on it many times. During the trip its really introspective, and in the afterglow Im more connected to people.

If anything this time it taught me not to worry so much and relax a little. My bloodwork came back normal after I suspected a problem I was ready to deal with, but the problem isn't there. So I need to learn to chill out from the problems.

That's all a part of anxiety though. Once I get therapy set up it will help. But this is a good kick start

YMMV. Many people actually hate DXM's effects, but its a rule of thirds. I just so happen to fall in to the third percentile of people that enjoy it. You either hate it, like it, or are indifferent towards it

That being said with actual psychedelics like shrooms and lsd I would suggest trying those first. Dis-associatives are for the more experienced trippers imo. I mean LSD is a highly, highly potent chemical, but it doesn't make people freak out as much as NMDA antagonists, which deprive you of certain senses and could lead to freaking out a bit more easily.

This is from my experience though. Do the research for yourself before you decide on anything. But I would suggest one tab of acid or about a gram of shrooms for noobies. Then you can work your way up as you see fit

And always keep in mind that trips should be used to help improve upon your perspective of life. They wont make life better. So be in a good mood when you do it.
