A lot of artists might not even recognize that this is a thing thanks to DA's autistic image uploader.

When you upload a picture it automatically puts it in a weird 1280 resolution. You have to manually select the original resolution which ONLY shows up by opening up the advanced options somewhere on the right side of the screen.

Mind you these things were baked into the regular uploader back when we had the old DA layout and everything. The download option is usually selected by default, don't know if it saves your previous choice or if it's always on by default. In which case they remove in on purpose.

It's not unreasonable for an artist to get payed for the work they do. In Patreon's case, you're even able to just pay a single month's fee and get access to everything the artist has posted previously, as well as anything they post that month, or, if they don't hand out the rewards directly via their Patreon feed, they put the art up on Gumball or something similar.

Granted, I think that most artists charge too much for people to be able to be subbed to several at the same time. But it's difficult to say whether this is because people in general choose to take as much as they can after paying for just a single month or if people do that because it costs so much. I can only speak from personal experience, but there's certainly some artists that I'd have been happy to give $1 or $2 monthly to if it gave me the benefits I was looking for, but I'm certainly not gonna stay around for several months for $10 or $15. So instead I'm extremely with my Patreon and only support artists I think are doing an absolutely excellent, near professional, job.

I don't think that's what this is about though, I don't even think that's a weird thing. Noncon is all fun in fiction, but everybody has to have at least some awareness that if you're hoping to get a session going irl, it's likely going to be with a person that is getting off on it or at least won't mind it too much.
