Vampire Quickstart from the previous edition and just let the DM fill in the holes as needed.
Alternatively Kills Puppies for Satan (played seriously) would be a mechanically light game that would give reasonable variety to play styles of monster (especially if the clans got their own monster build instead of just going with the default draculas). Lots of meat left on that bone.

Whitewolf has not always catered to exclusively dramafags. Minds eye theater used to be like 50-50 (or probably less) to regular play groups. The people who are writing it now are avowed larpists (and by that I mean people who think protest is a useful form of political expression in the 21st century) and SJW.
