One of the rarest forms of TF media (on par with videos and interactive games), there's a few main categories for audio-focused transformations:

Storybook - Similar to mainstream audiobooks, with "character" scenes told from a 2nd or 3rd-person perspective, and (usually) a distinct "narrator" for scene descriptions and transitions.

Example: https://soundcloud.com/user-457947401/tracks

PoV Sequence - One-shot "character" scene with no interruptions or "narrators", designed to make you feel like you're vividly experiencing (or witnessing) the events from a 1st (or 2nd) person perspective.

Example: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/lizsfx2016/folder/186454/Audio-TFs

Hypnosis - Sometimes combined with the other two types, but standalone hypnosis has a "narrator" addressing the listener directly, with odd sounds in the background for hypnotic suggestion, and a reversal sequence at the end to try and un-fuck your brain.

(Use at your own risk; you have been warned)

Example: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/kaeso/folder/329373/Hypnosis

If there's shit you wanna recommend, find, request, share, write a script for, or help create, then this is the thread to ask.

This is my favorite type of TF media. Images are plentiful and easy to share around, but a quality audio TF really gives the imagination something to grab onto. Wouldn't be doing my job though if I didn't mention https://www.warpmymind.com. The signal to noise ratio is pretty poor, but there are good files out there if you don't mind a bit of wading through the trash.

While thinking about early encounters with audio TF, I remembered an old, unfinished script I wrote for one.

The creator never published their own script, and it's unclear what happens at what points (at least without a character constantly stating the obvious), so I wrote one by doing some guesswork based on the 'cover image'.

Here's what I've got, post-cleanup:

[Bedroom, Full-Moon Night]

0:00 - Standing in bedroom, looking out the window. The moon is hidden by clouds.
Jay - **Sigh** "Alright..." **Deep breath**
0:10 - The clouds begin to part, and the full moon's light shines through the window.
Jay - **Sharp breath** "Oooh... Phew! Alright, here we go..." **Rapid breathing**
---
TRANSFORMATION BEGINS
---
0:25 - Fingers and toes begin to merge. Arms and legs begin to change and grow. Torso begins to change shape, steadily gaining weight at the bottom.
Jay - **Pain, Discomfort**
0:38 - Tail appears and begins to grow, with fire appearing at the tail-tip. Torso continues to change and grow, causing shirt to rip open at the front.
Jay - **Pain, Discomfort** "Oh, I love this thing..."
0:52 - Falling forwards onto bed. Tail, legs and arms grow larger, causing clothes to burst at the seams. Voice gets deeper as head and neck begin changing.
Jay - "Aah! A-aaah!" **Discomfort** "Oh..." **Deep voice** "Wuoohh... Woah!" **Deeper voice** "...WUOOHH!"
1:04 - Wings appear, and begin to grow. Horns begin to form on head. Neck grows wider and longer. Torso grows large enough to burst out of shirt.
Jay - **Very deep voice** "Oh! Ooohh! Oh!" **Pain, Growling**
1:16 - Toungue and teeth begin changing as face grows out. Neck grows even wider and longer. Tail and legs grow large enough to burst all remaining clothes.
Jay - **Growling**
1:28 - Sudden rush of flame-breath across the room. Claws form on hands and feet. Teeth grow sharper and larger. Whole body rapidly grows to full size.
Jay - **Fire-Breathing, Roaring, Growling**
---
TRANSFORMATION ENDS
---
1:45 - Lying on bed, briefly recovering from the transformation.
Jay - **Breathing, Roaring**
1:57 - Sliding off the bed, placing each foot on the floor, causing the room to shake violently.
Jay - **Growling**
2:02 - End of sequence.

Bonus: According to the comments, the non-stock sound effects were made using "…cardboard[,] ice and some vegetables".

Though it has more effort than the standard fare for 2014, the poor-quality sound effects are hard to ignore.

It seemed better to focus on 'free' stuff in the OP, since the majority of Warp content is locked behind a paywall, and what they offer for free seems to be piss-poor.

(Hypnosis has never worked for me though, so I'm no authority on the matter)

This kind of scenario almost works better as a script, don't you think? It's almost impossible to give enough detail to build a scene just with audio cues alone, unless the transformee talks unnecessarily about what's happening. My favorites are the files where there is some kind of narrator.

It's a fair point about WMM, I wish they'd allow anonymous downloads for non-premium files. The whole site feels kinds scammy. If you make an account with a burner email or something it lets you download anything that doesn't have a price next to the name for free.

It's definitely possible to find some good files there (if hypnosis files work for you, that is). I'm a fan of this uploader smfx (https://www.warpmymind.com/index.php?gadget=HFiles&mitem=files-authors#eyJoT2Zmc2V0IjoiMCIsInNlbFNvcnQiOlsiNCJdLCJ0eHRTZWFyY2giOiIiLCJzZWxBdXRob3JzIjpbIjE1ODkzIl19), he uses a narrative style that would work as a 2nd person "storybook" TF even if it wasn't wrapped in a hypnotic induction and wakener. I usually just skip the induction and listen to the TF. Here's a bunch of his files:

A written script is always great for Character PoV, especially if there's a 'no-voice' version available; with good enough sound quality, and a script committed to memory, you can close your eyes and play out the whole thing as the protagonist.

>SFMX

Knew this name sounded familiar; he goes by "LSFMX1" or "Frost Endwood" elsewhere, and most of his work (with descriptions, including the files you posted) seems to be posted here: http://frosthypno.blogspot.com

Nah, some of those files (or rather, links to them) were also on FA, and their profile page on there had links to Twitter, Blogspot, etc.
