I've spilled enough words on this subject. It's all so tiresome. It consistently blows my mind how many people refuse to see what is self-evident, namely that women are highly-desirable property, women are small, breakable animals in need of constant protection and strict discipline, lest "freedom" turn them into shrieking tantrum-throwing brats who defiantly get themselves killed by opportunistic predators.

Isn't it strange how all of these modern complaints were elegantly handled by a tried-and-true system we had in place for hundreds of years?

This could have so easily been solved by lying about when her husband goes to work. If he leaves at 10AM should have said that he would leave by 9AM, that way if the buyer is really a perv who wants to wait until the husband is gone he would have arrived at 9:30 or so and the husband would have still been around.
