This has probably come up many times, I run many privacy addons but my web browsing performance is slow. What do you actually run? For the extra paranoid what do you run?

Https everywhere, Umatrix for fine grained control, Ublock as a catch-all for ads, Decentraleyes to substitue remote resources with local ones, CanvasBlocker to prevent canvas fingerprinting, Cookie AutoDelete to remove all cookies (with a few exceptions).

Besides extensions I use an alternative DNS to prevent ((them)) from logging my requests.

Even with all that I didn't notice a big performance drop while browsing.

if you want privacy the only option on the market is Tor Browser https://torproject.org

if you want more privacy and speed, use Tor Browser with Highest security setting (disables javascript)

I have thought about doing this.

Mainly my concern is how annoying browsing the web has become with cookie warning posts on every "popular" website, and websites claiming they will not function without cookies despite loading correctly a few seconds before displaying said message.

solutions:

-disable style (CSS) on such page, it will display text without any boxes on it

-install addon that will allow you to remove screen blocking element in two clicks

-right click on element and "Inspect" then remove it

-install adblocker but don't use it's list, instead just add cookie warnings and other shits so they are not displayed in the future

those are not optimal solutions though, Tor Browser should have something built in
