The problem is with the network though, not the individual phone. Replicant solves symptoms, but not problems. The way the cell phone network is set up triangulates your exact location even without GPS, accurate to within 5 miles, updated every 30 seconds. This is only in-part the widely talked-about E-911 system. The other is for network approximation. Read this shit, I read this several years ago and the author just made a new site.

I use my phone to write notes, and that's a pain in the ass without some kind of a keyboard. Dumbphones often have complete shit timers/alarm clocks and other basic tools too, the last one I used was so painful to use that I switched back to my smartphone just for that. Don't want to deal with it daily for cooking or whatever.

While I'm not against the idea of using a dumbphone, you can't just tell people to "use a dumbphone lol" without any recommendations because a lot of them are shit as well.
