>Most villain vs hero stories follow the "David vs Goliath" format, i.e. little goy overcoming big goy
>Khan is the opposite, he uses his wits and intelligence to overcome the hero who holds all the cards
>End result is that appears as both deadly and intimidating
Is this why he is considering an iconic movie villain?

I don't really know if he would have been as successful as a movie villian without the tv villain laying the groundwork.
What a phenomenal film though. I just wish they'd recognize that it was made for a different time and audience and stop trying to fucking remake it.

Khan is Bane. Deadly, strong, intelligent, but with the fatal flaw of arrogance.
Can someone please explain to me why an Indian named "Khan Noonien Singh" is played by a Mexican and a white British lizard monster?

I guess. I just don't understand why they didn't make the character Spanish, instead.
**Of course, then we'd have Star Trek II: The Wrath of Don or something.
Blame it on my spergism, but race-lifting always gets up my nose, no matter which way it's going. If M*A*S*H ever had an actual Korean playing a Korean, I'd be highly surprised. Don't even get me started on the shit that routinely happens in the Marvel movies and comics.

The recent remake would have been better had nuKhan immediately phaser stunned and then restrained Kirk and the chick, by breaking their arms and tying them up. Then beaming out the rest of the hostile crew. And then, when he contacts Spock, he directly asks for his people. And when Spock points to where the torpedoes are, nuKhan gives the Enterprise some light phaser fire for getting cute with him, and energizes part of the bridge crew into space, and puts a timer up for Spock letting him know exactly how long those crewman have before they can't be healed back up.
Then Spock fesses up, orders that area powered down, nuKhan retrieves one of them, inspects and confirms, beams back the bridge crew and beams out the remainder of his people, has some robots secure them, then he sends back Kirk and the girl, and hauls ass away, detecting Federation vessels in hot pursuit, but falling behind because the Vengeance is that much faster.

I mean look at Krampus thats some child control IRL.
In the federation the simply discovered having a traumatizing "out of pans labyrinth" teacher simply makes the little fuckers study forever.
Or do you think any child will ever think of disobeying this teacher?

Chang got federation assassins to kill his political enemy, built a bird of prey that could fire while cloaked, and was kicking the shit out of a Constitution class and an Excelsior class warship until Spock and McCoy did hax to a torpedo with a mere Bird of Prey. And the second they launched the torpedo he knew he was screwed.
In Star Trek: Klingon Academy, he teleported aboard a rebel Klingon's ship and killed him in a knife fight, ending the rebellion.
